I would just like to name myself the biggest mark for Marcus Cor Von and Elijah Burke

I dunno, something about that pairing just really does it. I mark out EVERY time for the Pounce and the Elijah Express. They're more than capable in the ring and just all around entertaining. Plus, they both have awesome theme music. Probably the best shit happening in the entire WWE right now.

That is all. Have a nice day.

IC Champion 06-09-2007 03:19 PM

Wait a minute, Ive been a mark for Cor Von back when he preformed under the alias of Monte Brown, I'm a way more Mark for Cor Von then you.

Anybody Thrilla 06-09-2007 03:20 PM

He wasn't Cor Von back then. He was just Brown. You can be the biggest Monty Brown mark, but I'm calling dibs on Cor Von. Not exactly the same character, you see. :shifty:

IC Champion 06-09-2007 03:21 PM

I guess...:-\

Anybody Thrilla 06-09-2007 03:32 PM

Has Elijah Burke scored a win over CM Punk yet? I don't seem to recall one, and it's pissing me off.

Erebus 06-09-2007 03:39 PM

I'm a big time backer of Burke, but I dunno. I could care less about Cor Von.

IC Champion 06-09-2007 03:40 PM

Cor Von is the goods, like ABT is obviously the goods for knowing Burke and Cor Von is the goods. Got it, Goods.

Anybody Thrilla 06-09-2007 03:45 PM

Flawless logic from Instant Classic.

Cor Von has a great presence in the ring, and The Pounce does look pretty sick. Plus, he's hilarious in what some would call an unintentional way, but I think he knows what he's doing. What's even better about it though is that while he can be funny, he still looks serious enough to be a threat at any time to anyone. He's only going to get better from here, I'm predicting.

Also, Burke and Cor Von just makes so much sense as a 'tag team'. Their chemistry is pretty sick.

311 06-09-2007 03:46 PM

I think they could both be players, honestly. If only Bill Watts were in charge. :y:

I likes you, I like you alot.

The One 06-09-2007 06:02 PM

Hell no. I'm #1 Cor Von fan...though his music sucks!

I mark for the POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNCE! Period!

311 06-09-2007 07:04 PM

Just got around to watching the latest ECW...

I think Burke and Cor Von are going to get over. You can hear the audience winding up when they realize the pounce is coming...a very good sign, in my opinion. I honestly think they've both got the goods.

Also, I like ECW...obviously it's not the old ECW but it's new talent and I enjoy watching them. *shrug*

A disgrace to the old, but I like it anyway.

McLegend 06-09-2007 09:51 PM

Yeah I think I've been the biggest Monty Brown/Cor Von mark here the longest.

So F U all.

Nark Order 06-09-2007 09:54 PM

I can't get over how goofy Cor Von's body is. His abdomen sticks out as far as his actual chest does.

Skippord 06-10-2007 01:12 AM

Elijah Burke is my hero

Funky Fly 06-10-2007 01:32 AM

What exactly is the Elijah Express? I don't get sci-fi, you see.

Skippord 06-10-2007 01:43 AM

Running double high knee strike to the opponent's back

Fuck no. I've been singing praises since Hippophant.

The Optimist 06-10-2007 02:59 AM

Lol. Monty Brown is the new Psycho Sid, so I dig him alot. I don't know too much about Burke, I think I'm still stuck on his short run with Terkay.

The One 06-10-2007 03:20 AM

Cor Von, MVP, Burke and yes even Punk sometimes are the young guys who I am holding out hope for a big future career.

Yeah I've been marking for him ever since he turned heel and teamed with Jarrett back on FSN. That was way before Hippophant.

Mr. Nerfect 06-10-2007 10:13 AM

ECW actually has a lot of talent I mark for. Elijah Burke and Marcus Cor Von being two of them. I'm a much bigger fan of Burke, as he is more my kind of wrestler, but for biggish guys, Cor Von is pretty damn solid. The WWE schedule will help him out more than TNA's, because Monty needs to grow and really work on his ring work. He will get better as time goes working in the WWE.

The only complaint I have about Cor Von is that they're not letting him show too much personality. I have not heard much from the guy on the mic, but he seems confident and competent out there, so why not let him cut the occasional promo? Let him show off some of that goofy side that goes with his theme music. I love the way his titantron is clashes with the music. I think that's the character Marcus Cor Von should have. At the moment he just seems like a somewhat generic heel.

I have no complaints about where Burke is at. He is so good in his current role, and the funny thing is that Burke is arguably even better at playing a face. There is no need to rush things of course, as Burke is doing fine, but one day Burke can turn and he will refresh himself of any staleness bad WWE booking puts on him. If the WWE does in fact bring the ECW Tag Team Championship back, the WWE are idiots if they don't let these guys hold the belts.

KingofOldSchool 06-10-2007 11:12 AM

I would bust 25 nuts if at the end of Raw Monday night, John Cena feels the POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUNNNNNNNNCCCCCCCCC-AH!

Period.

A disgrace to the old, but I like it anyway.

If more fans thought this way, they'd probably have a LOT more fun with ECW.

IC Champion 06-10-2007 03:01 PM

I dont get Sci-Fi, and I download a few ECW's but they were gabage and never bothered again, not to mention I'm a fan of the original fan, and using the name just call your 'C show' something with credibility, I dunno just doesnt go over well with me, not that I have anything against the talent, just the storylines have been the same for 3 months, so meh.

The One 06-10-2007 06:46 PM

Personally, ECW is probably my favorite brand currently. I mean it has absolutely NO connection to the original, but if you look at it from a "This is a WWE product" standpoint, it's solid...or...at least more solid I guess. :-\

I guess I could give that a try.

The One 06-10-2007 06:54 PM

I mean I'm not saying ECW is great, but compared to SmackDown which I haven't been able to stay awake for an entire show in months or RAW without HBK or HHH...it's not that tough of a battle to win.

Innovator 06-10-2007 07:00 PM

I'd be happy if they did Punk vs. Burke every week.

And ABT, I think Burke got a win over Punk in an extreme rules match when Monty CorBrown pounced Punk through a table.

IC Champion 06-10-2007 07:06 PM

It may also help that you're only subjected to an hour a week.

That concept certainly doesn't work for TNA. :|

IC Champion 06-10-2007 07:12 PM

TNA has actually been, dear I say good the last 2 weeks.

The One 06-10-2007 07:14 PM

In truth I haven't watched in a couple of weeks...if you're giving me the green light I might check it out this Thursday.

Deep in the heart of the Impact! Zone...

"My God! They're liking the product! Put the belt back on Jeff quick!!!"

Anybody Thrilla 06-11-2007 03:15 PM

When the fuck does TNA even come on? I'm pretty sure I've asked this about 30 times and forgotten just as many times.
