As my Rilo Kiley obsession continues...

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on their, "The Initial Friend E.P." or their Live EP?

Demonoid or BTMON.com

El Vaquero de Infierno 06-13-2007 12:13 PM

I would prefer having the actual CD, to a downloaded version of the ep.

Try Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ.

I saw them last week (check tpww group on facebook for clips) and they were pretty bad ass. Jenny Lewis is also ridiculously (sp?) sexy, live. Their new material is also far better live, than on CD, though the new album is still pretty decent.

Checked Groucho's. No luck.

I was supposed to see them tonight but can't go :(

 Rilo Kiley

It's taken me a few listens to come around on the new album, but it's slowly growing on me.

Indifferent Clox 09-12-2007 10:29 AM

I just got a bright eyes vinyl

yeah...

He used to date Jenny Lewis

and is on handle me with care with her.

Also Good life (from his label) did stuff with her. Ina

and postal service of course.

Well, considering they've released music on Saddle Creek I'd say it's not that unusual.

El Vaq de Inf you actually went from new jersey to Scotland to find this cd. nice

OssMan 09-13-2007 09:49 PM

Kinda annoyed by every band with 3 dudes and a chick or something similar the chick is always the singer, only semi difference is the Pixies cause kim deal plays bass too and sings. I wanna see a band with 3 dudes and 1 chick and the chick is just playing rhythm guitar or something even though I generally hate chicks playing guitar cos they suck

ron the dial 09-13-2007 11:49 PM

Kim Gordon is also a bad ass.

FakeLaser 09-14-2007 12:17 AM

I checked their websites, chief. I'm not that obsessed.

Kim Gordon is bad ass...but I still prefer Thurston Moore (his solo album is freakin great) or Lee Ranaldo over her.

ron the dial 09-14-2007 04:43 PM

We were having a discourse about women in rock bands, so I thought it prudent to leave the men out.

FakeLaser 09-14-2007 05:33 PM

Thurston Moore's solo album is good.

Theres an Irish band called Ash that was three dudes, and a chick, and I believe the chick played Lead Guitar, and did backing vocals....shes left the band now though.

HOLY SHIT! Rilo Kiley are playing in Manchester again, on the 25th November. 2 Rilo gigs in the space of 3 months. Fookin' bootiful!

Cactus Sid 09-19-2007 06:01 AM

Yeah I'm thinking of catching them in Shepherds Bush if the tickets don't sell out , £20 can't really complain.

I bought The Execution of All Things yesterday, haven't got round to listening to it yet, but I'm expecting it to be good.
