But Bret Hart did make his return to the ring and announce that he will be taking Shawn Michaels on at Survivor Series.

Yeah, it was funny because it wasn't at 9PM, or at 10PM. They threw it in at like 10:19.

Actually I thought that was cool. More people probably saw it that way, than at the beginning.

Either that or they wanted to kind of keep it clear of all the "Vince is dead" stuff. Plus I thought it was a nice touch that it was placed right before the women's match.

Unless they had flipped away due to commercials, Timeshifted the programming, or recorded it to watch later. You know, the common ways wrestling fans watch wrestling.
