so did anyone play re4 wii-edit?
i'm curious for some user feedback. i poked around gamefaqs for a few minutes, never really got an answer to what i'm looking for.
|
I'm buying it this weekend. I missed out on the GC and PS2 version, so I'm excited to finally played one of the best games ever made. It's pretty cheap too. $30 in US and $40 in Canada.
Everything I've heard about it has been great. People have only mentioned the fact that the graphics haven't been upgraded at all and no new content for the Wii as cons. It's getting great reviews from "professionals" and players. |
Probably getting it in the mail tomorrow.
And what's the answer you're looking for, btw? |

Maybe?? |
Let's see what G has to say?
Maybe?? |

pretty much |
I should have it in about hours.
Will let you know. |
Yeah, it's bad ass. It's Gamecube RE4 with the extra PS2 content but the controls feel so much better.
If you've not finished RE4, a must buy. |
now me, i've played through it a few times. is the wii controls and the rail movement anything to make another play through worthwhile?
|
Probably not. but rail movement? The movements the same as the other versions
|
i read somewhere that it's like time crisis, where it moves you on it's own. :?:
|
The Rail movement is for some other Resident Evil game in the works. Yeah, it is called RE: Umbrella Chronicles. http://wii.ign.com/objects/827/827187.html Think I might go buy this game, never have played a RE game, and came might close to buying it for Cube a lot.
|
Umbrella Chronicles will tie up all of the loose ends in regards to how the Umbrella Corporation finally fell.
A moot point though, since *SPOILERS - Highlight* Wesker is apparently trying to bring the UC back. |
So yeah, bought it today. As I said never played a RE game before. So far really enjoying it. Thought the controls to move were a little slow, but after got hang of running and stopping ain't that bad. Shooting is extremely easy, just sucks if somebody is behind you or on the side, can't easily turn around. So whenever I'm in a big battle usually go into a house or corner and draw people towards me.
|
So put a good few hours into it and I'm loving it. As I said before, first RE game ever played, which is odd because I am a nerd for all things zombie related. But seriously loving this game, the mood while playing it is awesome. Can truly be scary at times, of course a snake coming out of a box biting me was the moment that scarred me most so far lol. The point and shoot works really well, everything works pretty smoothly after like 20 minutes of playing it. Even my previous complaint of the guy moving somewhat slow isn't that bad now Just finished chapter 1, can easily see me replaying the game.
|
This is the first Resident Evil I've played, but I'm liking it. The only thing I'm not liking is the lack of strafeing. This game is creepy as hell.

Yeah, first time I had it I was like hmm wonder what this is, trying to take it then BAM. Is there anyway to not get hit by em when you knife the box?
|
Just have your knife still in hand and swipe when you see them :o
|
I got it and played it today and I must say the controls really do make up for buying the game a second time.
It is a bit wonky at first trying to mow down the hordes of people in the beginning and getting rushed from behind, but overall the aiming is spot on. Definitely recommend this as a buy for those who haven't played it and also for people who have played RE4 before. |
