TNA = Retarded

Dudleys vs Kurt and Macho look-a-like and every title is on the line?

The One 06-21-2007 10:06 PM

Is it like the Main Event of Backlash '01 where whoever scores the pin wins the title of the other person, and if so, are we ready to even consider Bubba or Devon worthy of contending for the World Title, not to mention there isn't a whole lot of X-Division in any of them other than Lethal...which I guess Generic Black Man turned gimmick rip off and Kurt "I never met a pain killer I didn't like" Angle are going to unquestionably winning the Tag Titles.

THIS IS SO BIZARRE!

311 06-21-2007 10:07 PM

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

I fucking hate TNA.

If TNA is one big giant joke, then it's one of the most brilliant wrestling parodies I've ever seen.

If not, then by god what a horrible pile of shit. :y:

IC Champion 06-21-2007 10:09 PM

OMG this is real???? Someone was making a joke about that being the new match the other day...

Fucking TNA I give you my support and loyalty, and this is how you repay me, with this shit. BOOOOOOO.

McLegend 06-21-2007 10:13 PM

Give it either a few mintues or a few weeks and it won't be as retarded.

It will only be somewhat retarded.

The One 06-21-2007 10:15 PM

Now wait just a second, I am not big TNA cock sucker here, but let's get real for a moment...

TNA is better than WCW was in it's dying days, it's lower/midcard is better than ECW's ever was, it mops the floor with CZW's ass (except Nick Mondo, the greatest wrestler ever of course), it's preferable to RoH or Japan, and it's really only a couple of shades worse than WWE's product currently.

TNA does suck, but then again Wrestling on a whole sucks, and we've always known that. Half the reason the internet was invented was so that people could complain about wrestlers in their territories. But to call it a parody is kind of silly, since as far as I can tell, wrestling has always been a parody of actual sports and soap operas...and not a very good one at that.

TNA is bad, but let's be fair, with the exception of like 3 years of NWA history, 1 year of WCW, 2 years in WWF, and a couple of brief shinning moments in ECW's history, all of wrestling has always sucked. It's no shittier than the rest of this god forsaken industry's history.

McLegend 06-21-2007 10:20 PM

Woah now

TNA's lower/midcard talent might be better then ECW's was, but TNA's lower midcard is no way better then ECW's was.

McLegend 06-21-2007 10:22 PM

I see that's kinda confusing post

Basically I mean I cared more about ECW's lower midcard as where I don't give a damn about TNA's.

Otherwords ECW's lower/midcard was more entertaining then TNA's lower/midcard.

IC Champion 06-21-2007 10:23 PM

That's what I've been saying now for months. I've watch TNA everyweek Since just before Angle came in, and honesly the last month or two of TNA has been better then both Smackdown and ECW. If you think were TNA started, and where we all thought it would be, it has come a long way, and IMO is only getting better, slowly, but it is getting better.

The One 06-21-2007 10:24 PM

Oh no, you're right, a year long build up so some random ass manager 911 could chokeslam Fonzy was so much better than Kevin Nash working to get bland nobodys over...

311 06-21-2007 10:25 PM

Something about this thread made me think of this for some reason:

No idea why.

Who did ECW ever have? Shane Douglas, Taz, RVD, Raven.....those are the only credible ones I can think of off the top of my head, and I was a fan of ECW by the way.

The One 06-21-2007 10:27 PM

ECW was incredible at taking rejects and making them somehow seem like worthy Main Eventers, but if you look at their undercard, and I mean anything that wasn't the last or second to last match of the night, it was all trash that in many ways could easily be comparable to XPW or CZW bullshit...

McLegend 06-21-2007 10:27 PM

Actually it was.

Espeically for the longest time those Nash segements went absolutely no where. Lot of them were huge wastes of time in fact.

The One 06-21-2007 10:29 PM

legend, you have made a powerful e-enemy with me here tonight. I shall spend the remainder of my days, learking, stalking, and doing everything I can to insure your time on TPWW is unpleasurable. How you might ask? I don't know yet, maybe come up with half-assed witty comments or possibly neg repping you, but know, that I shall make you e-pay for your e-crimes that you e-commited here tonight.

(I'm not sure that last "e-" was needed...but FUCK YOU just the same)

Those weren't the lower card guys

And anyway what did I say? I said TNA's talent might actually be better then ECW's talent ever was, but as we can see having a talented roster doesn't automatically make them better.

IC Champion 06-21-2007 10:30 PM

Thall shalt not speaketh ill of Lord Nash.

Anyone else doesnt count as anything, they were who mattered.

I thought the segements were hilarious, and I thought Nash was great in them. He stole the show in the segments.

Now with that said you can honestly tell me TNA benefited from those segments?

Also I have been saying this stuff about Nash for a while. So this isn't new

IC Champion 06-21-2007 10:35 PM

I know Nash was one of the reasons why I started to watch it every single week in the beginning, that and because Christian is the man.

McLegend 06-21-2007 10:39 PM

If that is how you feel, TOVO then so be it.

I still love you though.

The One 06-21-2007 10:45 PM

And yes I do feel TNA benefitted greatly from those...

Before them, Alex Shelley was a talented nobody, Jay Lethal was the single most bland wrestler I had ever witnessed, and Austin Starr was only kind of over with RoH nerds. Now granted, they have since dropped the ball on both Starr and Shelley, but Lethal is an actual, over, drawing, worthy performer. That's a 1/3 success rate, Piper's Pit didn't even pull in that good of odds, and let's not forget, they all got over, it's just that TNA has since dropped the ball on the other two. Nash's segments not only stole the show, they took nobodies and made them into someone to care about, someone to get behind. And it was 99% thanks to Nash's comedic ability and sheer incredible charisma that rubbed off (at least temporarily) on the other performers.

If Nash could just kick Don West square in the nuts and take over as color, I think TNA would improve greatly.

I know some of you will now point to me not being able to make it through an entire episode of SmackDown with JBL at the booth as proof that it probably won't change a thing, but remember, I couldn't even stomach to watch SmackDown when he wasn't at the table. And now I simply have it on in the backround and listen to commantary instead of bore myself with watching that shit. So he has done wonders for SmackDown in my book, and I think Nash could do just as much for TNA.

IC Champion 06-21-2007 10:48 PM

At Slammiversery Nash came out to assist Shelley and Sabin, and was at odds with lethal who had come to save Lynn and Backlund, so that may be interesting.

McLegend 06-21-2007 10:56 PM

You forget the whole summer they did that X-divison angle, and it lead to nowhere. It took them 7 months to get anything positive out of it. Which probably isn't Nash's fault in fact I would say it's the upper magaments fault and their inability to make stars.

As far as Nash in the booth. He would be good in small dosages, but he just make fun of everything and it would get old after a while.

IC Champion 06-21-2007 10:59 PM

Anybody but Don West, seriously, does he even know what an armbar is?

McLegend 06-21-2007 11:01 PM

Does Kevin Nash even know what an armbar is?

The One 06-21-2007 11:03 PM

Pssh! Nash doesn't bother with such basic moves. He's more worried about making sure his 900 degree splash turns out looking good.

IC Champion 06-21-2007 11:03 PM

Are you forgetting he spawned the X-Divison, and made it what is was.

The Show Off 06-21-2007 11:14 PM

I like TNA better then WWE. Their I said it. I'm not going to defend it or explain it. It's just what I like and what I prefer. All of you can hate it all you want, but I think it's great and I think Slammiversary from top to bottom was the PPV of the year.

Yeah, bait-and-switch Animal is the greatest bait-and-switch in wrestling history!!1!1!!

IC Champion 06-21-2007 11:27 PM

LOL.

Who says Christian and Styles/Tomko takes the tag team titles, or Christian wins the X-Division Title as an easy way to get into the match, lol, Christian is great.

KingofOldSchool 06-21-2007 11:55 PM

Brother Ray for TNA Champion!!!!!!1!!1!1

The One 06-22-2007 12:02 AM

According to TNA's website, Samoa Joe won the X-Division Title? :?:

mrslackalack 06-22-2007 12:03 AM

Yeah it was also done at IYH in Sept of 95 when Diesel/HBK fought Yoko/Bulldog (who subbed for Owen) Diesel/HBK won but were later stripped of the tag titles as they had pinned Owen who was not in the match.

What Would Kevin Do? 06-22-2007 12:05 AM

TNA being prefferable to ROH is a fucking joke.

Yup.

Poor Black Cheese Moe.

mrslackalack 06-22-2007 12:13 AM

Yeah Joe won the X Title tonight. I bet they do the rehashed angle where Joe/Angle win the tag titles but cant stand each other.

I swear TNA should do an angle where the booking team tries to come up with exciting angles for the shows only to be thwarted by Kurt Angle saying "WWE already did it."
