We get fucking Montreal Screwjob-related threads on a regular basis, so I think it's safe to say even years from now, Benoit-related threads are going to continue to appear whether people like it or not.

Chris Benoit vs. Brock Lesnar from a late Smack Down! '03 episode was fucking awesome.

Angle vs Benoit - RR 03. Had to be seen live to really appreciate.

But we can all change that trend, can't we???? I'm not willing to roll over and accept it.

It'd also be a lot different if it weren't for the fact that like 19 out of 20 threads on the first page right now are about Benoit in some way. Excess is what they call that.

Back when Benoit was constantly doing battle with Kevin Sullivan. Those were some really bloody matches.

This is too much Benoit, seriously.

two stand out for me.

Superbrawl VII. Benoit vs. Sullivan. it was in the cow palace in SF, and I think this match was the culmination of the fued between these two. It was just one of those matches with tons of heat and that stole the show.not saying much about the latter considering the main event was hogan/piper after piper locked himself in alcatraz for "weeks"

and then WMXX. Just so many factors i liked about this match/moment. The match was quality. But it was just that it was the WWE's ultimate PPV, and Vince let two "Atlanta" boys go over that night and gave them their moment in NYC. It was Michaels and HHH both with huge egos and stangleholds on that top spot, letting Benoit have it cause it was the right thing to do. It was the small guy who wasnt ever supposed to win the big one finally doing it on the biggest stage to do it on. And it was that hug of Eddie and Chris and the confetti, just a perfect night at the time, and now...

...and now it's the equivalent of having a telephone pole rammed into your pee-hole.

If anything, WMXX proves that HHH and HBK should only ever job to each other, because they really can't trust anyone else not to do something selfish and inhuman to taint the legacy of the biggest PPV in history. :shifty:

I think it was the Jericho/Benoit ladder match but I'm not sure where he dove through the ropes and got nailed with a chair shot.

I pretty much hated any match that Benoit was in because Benoit was in it. Boring ass vanilla midget.

That being said, his series with MVP was completely watchable because MVP carried him.

I just rewatched the Benoit/Regal match on the DVD - totally awesome.

For real though, the Owen Hart tribute match, and pretty much any match vs. Chris Jericho or Kurt Angle. I think my favorite Angle vs. Benoit match was from like Unforgiven 2001 or something.

I forgot to mention the best of 7s vs. Booker T.

Mostly his pre-WWF stuff, although he did have a cracker with The Rock in 2000, some tremendous matches with Triple H that same year, and his earlier encounters with Jericho (before the whole "I've seen this a million times now" kicked in). His last few years were nothing special.

I've never actually seen it, but apparently he had an absolute belter with William Regal at a Brian Pillman Memorial Show one year, which was so good Regal even got a job with WWE as a result of it.

It wasnt a long match but a great scientfic match that I feel was the comeback point in Regals career after he had fell off a bit due to drug problems and being jobbed out in WCW.

Any1 remember when The Rock turned Kevin ''Hermie'' Kelly into Chris Benoit during a promo in 2000? lol

This may not be a popular choice, but I'm gonna say:

Bet the people in attendance wish they would have paid attention now instead of taunting Edge.

I still can't bring myself to watch it again though. Not yet at least.

I'll always think fondly of the Triple Threat match at Backlash.

Jericho/Benoit vs Austin/HHH for the tag titles. The crowd were crazy in that match.

On a related note, the Crossface/Walls Of Jericho combo was amazing.

Was looking forward to seeing Y2J and Benoit feud again sometime, perfect match in wrestling terms.
