Doink vs. Luger?
 

My friend's brother called me last night wondering if Doink the Clown and Lex Luger ever wrestled each other. I tried to find out but had no luck. Figure you guys may know. Thanks

I don't remember any TV matches to be honest. They may have worked a house show, but it would of had to be when one was heel and the other face. They both were heels coming in. Luger turned face around Summerslam 93. Doink turned face a little after Summerslam 93. So it would of have to had been somewhere in that window.

LC is right, it would have to be in that little 2 month window if they did wrestle.

I checked History of WWE.com results for all the shows in 93, and they did not wrestle. In that timeframe Luger was mostly kept off house shows to push him for Summerslam, and Doink won various matches against Marty Janetty, Virgil, and Tito Santana, and after Summerslam, Luger battled Borga at house shows and Doink turned face shortly afterwards.

Just to change subject - I'm guessing those could have been some of Virgil's only wins in '93?

Nope, Doink won all the matches against Virgil, as Virgil was basically used as a jobber from 92-94.

Did he have a cast? I thought he just had his arm in a sling because Crush grabbed him.

....god, Doink was brought in so creatively...and when he actually went over Crush, I was shocked. Perfect execution there...until they turned him face.

yea, it was a sling with a fake rubber arm. Seriously, how brilliant was Doink? They made a feud that had Crush in it really interesting for god sakes.

The face turn ruined Doink as he was getting pretty over as a heel.
