Bring Back The Hardcore Title And Give it To Sandman
 

My Rationale:

Sandman is dead weight on RAW. Once the Carlito feud is over, the odds of him getting a real title shot are in the negatives. The guy needs some sort of purpose on the show and if anyone currently deserves that belt, it's him.

If they did bring it back, it would probably be with the 24/7 rule and it'd basically be an excuse to get all the Heat people on TV.

Also, if they brought it back...I bet it would be going to ECW, just to give them another title.</font>

They can't even manage the titles they have now, much less reactivate an old title.

I thought the Sandman-Carlito match segment on Raw proved to be pretty useless and the crowd did not seem to know how to react to it either.

The WWE has pretty much used him as the guy who drinks beer for an entrance or canes people for a moment or the guy who gets beaten within 10 seconds.

If they establish that Sandman is a legitimate threat to Carlito by letting him run wild with the hardcore accessories that HE NEEDS to get over then the fans might actually want themselves to react.

Otherwise the fans are merely going to think that this is just a three week feud between a jobber and a midcarder and won't bother reacting either way.

Ugh 'hardcore' matches....American garbage wrestling. There wouldn't be a worthwhile division in it. Name an ex-hardcore champ not called Foley who really did anything after winning it.

Dead end title for dead end talent

If you can't get over without an assortment of accessories, then you don't deserve to have a spot in the company.

Um...it's hardly "American." Ever heard of a guy named Abdullah the Butcher who had legendary hardcore matches in Japan?

And Sandman isn't being pushed because the WWE hav eno idea how to use talent. The guy has aerial abilities, a decent moveset, charisma and could be worth something if they let him.

I never understood why any of the wrestlers would wanna go for that title in the first place. :wtf:

In fact, Carlito fueding with someone like Sandman is a total :nono:.

Seriously, Carlito is probably right now one of the most well-rounded wrestlers in the WWE.

He has awesome mic skills and can definitely cut a promo, make us laugh etc. Although he was better off as his "cool" heel... now he just seems like a "Heel" heel.

His in-ring skills are top notch. Check out any of his PPV match over the last two years if you need convincing. One notable mention would be his triple threat match with Johnny Nitro and Shelton Benjamin at Vengeance 2006.

He has the look and a great body to not be "too small" for WWE's standards.

Sandman should have just stayed on ECW. This whole "Oh my god this guy is EXTREME and now he's a fish out of water on Raw" thing doesn't work for me. His Kendo stick swinging antics belong on ECW. Carlito belongs in the main event.

Got to say I do love Sandman.

I'm seriously surprised WWE allows him to break open those beers the way he does considering the amount of kids in the audience though. That shit goes EVERYWHERE.

Should have moved him to Smackdown.

I wonder if he still had Enter Sandman as his theme if he would be more over.

My Take On Why Sandman Doesn't Smoke On WWE TV

I haven't seeN Sandman smoke on WWE TV.

Spewing beer everywhere is A-OK 'cause of Austin but smoking is a huge taboo here in the States. God forbid some of the smoke end up near a kid and WWE gets another BS Lawsuit against the guy.

Mother: "THIS MAN IS SLOWLY KILLING MY SON THROUGH SECOND HAND SMOKE!"

Judge: Mr. Fullington, do you have anything to say in your defense?

Sandman: *stands up in his suit and shuffles some notes, clears throat* Yes, Your Honor. *leans down and pulls out a Singapore Cane from under the table and cracks the mother over the head*

The court room explodes into applause as people realize this is how most lawsuits should end and scream "SANDMAN!"{ as he stands on on a desk and starts chugging a beer.

This also reminds me of this promo the guy did back in the ECW Days.

The Sandman is painful to watch. Absolutely dreadful. If he even goes over Carlito once in this feud, I will be sorely disappointed.

He's the Master of the Singapore Cane.

He also can do a few alright top rope and springboard moves. He can do a DDT, his finisher the White Russian Legsweep and a few other moves.

He at least can do more than a chop and Figure 4.

I just made a thread about how I hate Ric Flair.

Also, those moves are all sloppily executed by The Sandman.

He hasn't hurt or killed anyone yet.

So it works.

Carlito sucks too.
