My thoughts is exactly. I guess they just scaled it down.

It's not open to the public this year. I think that's the key difference, and if I'm not mistaken, each company is more responsible than ever for showcasing their own games, etc, etc, etc., as opposed to having everything organized under one single roof.

They said they were scaling it down. I don't know how so many people got the impression it was over. Nothing they said would indicate that.

Yeah. It's a "Business and Media" show this time around. Closed its doors to the public, invatation only, and G4 has your key to get in.

However, Microsoft is going to be doing it's "Bringing it home" deal again which is pretty cool. I think Sony has something going on as well.

However, a new event that WILL be open to the public, the Entertainment for All Expo, or E for All for short, is set for October 18th-October 21st, 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and “will offer gamers the opportunity to see, try and buy video game products before they are on store shelves.”

Wow, the MS presentation is pretty underwhelming.

I'm still happy about the whole 3 year thing, in regards to 360's, but come on...a good gaming lineup would make this presentation better. We've seen nothing so far.

So far the best thing that's been on here is Mass Effect and the announcement that it will be out in November. The rest is pretty boring. The best will be last.

That was so horrible. There is no way that Sony or Nintendo could not top that. Even if both of them just had someone come sit on stage and stare blankly for an hour and a half it would be more eventful.

I guess mainly im more psyched for this because I dont own a Wii or PS3 so what ever Nintendo and Sony say that isnt PS2...PSP...or DS related is shit to me.

Sony is going on now and they're showing off a new PSP. Looks pretty much the same but with video output, which would be a nice feature.

Interesting. NC Soft (Guild Wars, city of heroes, etc) to develop games exclusively for the ps3 network..

Unreal tourny 3 "Exclusive to ps3 this year.."

And will allow User mods and along with updates/patches through ps3 network.

I love peeps on the gamefaqs bored too incompetent to understand times releases, and know when a game is by the wording.

Killzone 2 looks fricking amazing.

I have to give a major LOL to the fact that Sony said 11.4 million (I believe) units are shipping this year.

I just tuned into the Sony conference and they are showing footage of Killzone 2....

It looks alright but no where near what I think other people were expecting it to look like.

Still nothing warranting me to buy a PS3.

Apparently so, that and it was apparently costing companies more than they were willing to pay to get into the show. Just read that it was up to over 60,000 attendees.

Spore got postponed a while a go. Pretty disappointing for a game with bunch of hype and the only the same creature creation demo over and over to show for it.
