Maybe I'm the only one to notice this (minor raw spoilers)

And it's no longer the 13 year old girls. Jeff Hardy the past 4 weeks has gotten amazing face pops.

Agree or disagree?

DarKCentaur 07-16-2007 10:51 PM

I noticed that as well. I also noticed Carlito got a decent pop, strangely enough.

KingofOldSchool 07-16-2007 10:52 PM

And Orton.

Kane Knight 07-16-2007 11:04 PM

I disagree. Because I'm contrary by nature.

mrslackalack 07-16-2007 11:47 PM

Hardy has been getting some nice ovations lately. I also noticed the pops for Carlito and Orton

Xero 07-16-2007 11:50 PM

It was about on par with Hacksaw's pop though...

Speaking of which, it's pretty sad when Hacksaw Jim Duggan out-pops Triple H's music.

Also, is it just me or is he now retarded?

Shaggy 07-17-2007 12:10 AM

Yea I noticed it...pretty big pop for him....

Is this a real-out-pop? Or one of those fake ones?

Mr. Nerfect 07-17-2007 02:33 AM

KK, I'm not doubting your wisdom or anything, but why don't you accept CM Punk getting his name chanted over Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy at Survivor Series as a legit out-pop?

I haven't noticed Jeff Hardy's pops, but I don't normally watch all of RAW. It wouldn't surprise me, though. Carlito and Randy Orton also don't surprise me on the heel side. Carlito is just fucking awesome, and Randy Orton has been cheered as a heel before. This is also the best Orton has been since 2004.

I'm hoping that both Matt and Jeff Hardy win the respective Championships they are challenging for at The Great American Bash. Matt defeated MVP clean would be good, but Jeff beating Umaga might require a little Matt assistance (I can see them re-using the Triple H/Jeff Hardy IC Title finish). Either way, Matt and Jeff as US and IC Champions is the way to go, in my opinion.

Lux 07-17-2007 02:47 AM

I've always have been a Jeff Hardy fan myself "Exist 2 Inspire" and i noticed his pops the last few weeks, i've also cheered Orton to, which i found surprising but still hes been on for awhile

James Steele 07-17-2007 03:11 AM

Jeff Hardy has been really good lately. Orton still sucks.

chrisat928 07-17-2007 03:15 AM

Wow. How come no one has commented on the reaction Cena got?
It was a vast majority face pop, with very little negativity, if there was any at all.

Mr. Nerfect 07-17-2007 03:49 AM

I personally think that a lot of the fans have just gotten sick of booing Cena, mainly because the WWE will just keep ignoring us. And I think a lot of the non-Cena fans have just stopped following WWE.

I stopped watching RAW because of Cena. Now I'll tune back in because something interests me, whether it be Shelton Benjamin doing something, London & Kendrick being used, Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall in the women's division, etc.

Yeah, that's right. Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall work better as draws than John Cena for me.

Because I have ears, and a memory.

So you didn't hear CM Punk getting his name chanted while all five guys were in the ring? :?:

Jura 07-17-2007 12:40 PM

I hope those are Spock ears or at least Ross Perot ones!

That isn't what he said Alienoid.

Punk had his name chanted during the match and pre-match. So did DX, and the Hardy's.

Punk 'out-popped' no-one.

What happened was DX, The Hardys and Punk all pointed to sections of the crowd to get them into the segment. Eventually they told everyone to just cheer for everyone, and the fans broke into a unanimous "CM Punk" chant. The fans were far more interested in CM Punk than they were DX or The Hardys. I'd consider that out-popping, as I consider chants to be up on the positive reaction scale than just clapping and whistling.

I mean, the only case you have for Punk not out-popping DX and The Hardys is if you don't consider chanting to be categorising as popping, which is just trivial.

Anyone notice that IT IS 13 yr old girls with Cena's pop? lol.

Stickman 07-17-2007 02:58 PM

I agree but I dont' get it.

James Steele 07-17-2007 03:25 PM

Cena's pop was a big pop, but did you even hear one low-pitch cheer (ie voice of a person not a little girl or boy)?

Well I seriously doubt all the geezers in ur neck of the woods sound like that James, so ja, the 13yr olds have gone to Cena. Poor Jeff. They left him for the real fans...

RVDmark 07-17-2007 09:42 PM

I've noticed Jeffs pops are getting bigger. Personally I'd like to see him hold the WWE title if only from a PPV to the Next Raw (1 Night). Of course the untimely death of Shadow from too much auto-fellatio would be sad.

Yeah, the Hardies always get huge unexplainable pops.

Hey, look on the bright side... he still has Shadow

I think Matt actually deserves his.

Jeff Hardy is a bit more shakey with me, but he's been decent since returning. I just watched RAW, and during the match, it did sound like the 13 year old girls cheering him. His pre and post match pops were pretty big, though.

Triple H got surprisingly little, though. Thank God, I'm not looking forward to his return, especially since he will be making Booker job.

Mr. Nerfect 07-18-2007 06:20 AM

KK, what is your definition of "out-popping" then?

Well since HHH wasn't actually THERE, I'd say no, it's not too sad.

OH, FFS.

You didn't ask me that.

You do this all the time. You pose one question, and expect an answer to a different one.

Straighten out your story.

True Brit Grit 07-18-2007 04:04 PM

Completely agree - so much so that it almost seemed out of place to me when I watched Raw earlier. They've really been shoving this 'fans having fun' crap recently, too...

My story is this: CM Punk got his name chanted over Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. It was a moment where all five were trying to babyface it up, and the fans got behind Punk. I'm just curious as to what your definition of out-popping is if getting more face support isn't it.
