GOD MOTHER FUCKING DAMMIT

Source: WrestlingObserver.com

Edge has a torn pectoral muscle from taking a bad bump during the Mardi Gras angle on the Smackdown show that aired on Friday. He is expected to miss some time. The plan had been to keep him as the top star on SD! for the time being so he is a little ticked off that the injury came now.

The plan was for a Battle Royal to determine the new champion. The winner of the Battle Royal will make their first title defense on Sunday's Great American Bash in San Jose.

This could always change as they are writing SD! as we speak.

KingofOldSchool 07-17-2007 01:43 PM

Well I no longer need to watch Smackdown, I just hope they did what they did with Kurt Angle in early 2006 and move Kennedy back to Smackdown and win the World Title.

Mooияakeя™ 07-17-2007 01:44 PM

OMFG.

Quick draft Kennedy back over. I dunno how. Say he was injured when the draft was made, he paid someone off... JUST FUCKING DO IT.

Please don't just whack it on anyone. (ala BATS). KANE would be good chasing. SHOCK US! Gvie it someone we don't expect! Hardy? Dykstra? Just anything.

Oh man. I can see it now. Bats vs Kane vs Kahli for the title. OMFG. BOoooooooring.

Theo Dious 07-17-2007 01:47 PM

MVP for World Champ! BALLIN!!!

McLegend 07-17-2007 01:47 PM

SD is cursed

Honestly, I hope Vince is at Chris Jericho's front door. On his knees. With his chapstick ready.

Slow 07-17-2007 01:52 PM

Worst. News. EVER.

Come on HHH, Smackdown needs you! Failing that, maybe it's mark henry's time to shine... :shifty:

Rey can just stay away

McLegend 07-17-2007 01:52 PM

It's seriosuly true.

Look at all thierpast champions or almost Champions

Batista=was injured
Eddy Guerro= Very sadly dead
Kurt Angle=No longer with the company
Rey=Injured
Booker= Don't think anything happend to him.
Batista= Was never the same after he came back from that injury and had a terrible title reign
Undertaker=Serious injury
Edge=Serious injury

It's clearly cursed

Slow 07-17-2007 01:53 PM

At a crisis like this, all eyes are on Funaki

Juan 07-17-2007 01:53 PM

I have this sick feeling in my stomach that Kahli is gonna win the strap via the battle royal...

Um, he was out for quite a little time with an injury.

Also you forgot JBL, who is retired now.

Didn't somebody say that if Edge and Kane both went out, Funaki would be next in line for the strap?

I SMELL SMACKDOWN CONSPIRACY NUMBA ONE!!!

I can see it now.

Kennedy returns to Smackdown and wins the Battle Royal and he's celebrating with the World Title. And Teddy Long comes out and announces that Kane won't be challenging Kennedy at the Great American Bash. Well Kennedy breathes a sigh of relief because he won't have to face Kane. Long tells Kennedy not to be too relaxed because he found a more than suitable replacement.

*lights go out*

*the countdown appears*

*BOOM*

*CHRIS JERICHO APPEARS*

Mooияakeя™ 07-17-2007 01:55 PM

DarthTedious is right.

Either Jericho should be being begged, or MVP is ballin' at the top!

Heck, I'd even say, get down to RVD's cartoon shack or whatever it is and get him on the earliest plane! - Jeez, i'd take anything but what I just know they'll do. Bats Bats Bats. Fused with Khali and Kane.

Kane Knight 07-17-2007 01:56 PM

Edge sucks. Smackdown just got 20000000% better.

Also, with all these injuries, perhaps we should revisit the Wellness Policy...Or does some other cocaine addicted steroid abuser need to die in his hotel room?

Yeah that's what I thought about Booker T, but I wasn't completly sure.

JBL's time took place before the curse. However I am willing to change my stance on JBL if I can be given some evidence.

Jura 07-17-2007 01:57 PM

Because Smackdown! is The Rock's show baby and until he appears on it again the curse will not be lifted.

KingofOldSchool 07-17-2007 01:57 PM

But since Jericho won't come back this soon, I hope Kennedy goes back to Smackdown so I won't have to feel obligated to watch Smackdown anymore.

Renaissance man 07-17-2007 02:02 PM

Kane deserves the title. More than anyone else. The nonsense the man had to endure is shocking!

Slow 07-17-2007 02:04 PM

Ah what the hell, give it to Finlay, this's the only chance he'd ever get a title shot.

Better yet, Paul Burchill.
Better yet, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

RGWhat316 07-17-2007 02:04 PM

I don't believe this crap again. It almost seems like karma for Edge since he won the title off Taker's injury, and now someone else is gonna win the title off of his injury. Dammit, why doesn't Cena ever get injured?? It's always the good champions that have to take an injury leave.

That's what they said about the Red Sox.

So we've got another 84 years to go...

Because Cena is usually the lightest worker this side of Hogan.

Mooияakeя™ 07-17-2007 02:07 PM

Well...

He's 'roided up:
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...rs/bio/4749380

I doubt he'll become 17 TIME, 17 TIME, 17 TIME WOOOOOOOOO:
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...rs/bio/4750722

That leaves only one man... Smackdown's latest superstar:
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...rs/bio/4936942

NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

Slow 07-17-2007 02:07 PM

Hopefully he'll come back as a face. I don't like him as a face, cuz of how brilliant a heel he is, but maybe then he won't job to people left right and centre, and can get the title back cleanly

You mentioned Eddie, who was champion before JBL.

Londoner 07-17-2007 02:14 PM

AH shite. Bollocks. Fuck. Might aswell kill off SD right now, who would want to be the champ with the history it has with wrestlers being injured? Maybe this is Gods way of saying END THE FUCKING DRAFT!

Slow 07-17-2007 02:18 PM

provided no-one jumps ship...

looking at the roster, Bats is gonna feud with khali, mvp is us champ, hardy is chasing him, cruiserweights aren't gonna be main eventers.

Kane is the logical choice, not having anyone to feud with
Chris Masters is'nt in a major feud, could do a johnny nitro
Finlay is'nt in a major feud, but has no charisma
Mark Henry isn't injured. Yet.
Rey could return early
Holly. No. just no.
Chuck Palumbo - too soon

Kane Masters or Henry i reckon. hopefully if they do a battle royal it'll be a 'masterpiece' of a match. cough.

D Mac 07-17-2007 02:18 PM

How about FINLAY?

D Mac 07-17-2007 02:19 PM

If Mark Henry wins it I will never watch Smackdown again.

See now I think it started with Batista coming over to SD. Now Eddy was supposed to win the title like the day before he died.

So when Batista came over to SD to me is the beginning of the curse.

If they even had a nugget of thought into giving Masters the World Title, I would seriously boycott the company.

And that's not something I throw around like a lot of people here.

Londoner 07-17-2007 02:20 PM

Ah fuck, that means no matt/edge feud.

ttetf 07-17-2007 02:21 PM

Although it would never happen, I think Lashley should win the battle royal and then face Cena for a title unification match at GAB. I don't really give a fuck who wins that match, but only care that there would once again be only one major title again (And no, I don't consider ECW a major title). I still think having two cheapens the whole concept...

KingofOldSchool 07-17-2007 02:22 PM

According to PWInsider, Mark Henry, Batista, and Matt Hardy are the front runners to take the strap tonight.

I just pray it's Matt.

Londoner 07-17-2007 02:22 PM

Matts matches have been impressive lately.
