Just a thought I had

I was thinking about old school WCW and how I was marking out for Sting, Luger, hated the nWo, and all of that. Obviously, I still thought it was real, and it had me on the edge of my seat. I was also like 11 at the time. I wonder if kids that age are marking out about wrestling like we used to when we were kids. Is the product good enough to keep kids watching and excited throughout a whole show? Like, I remember even watching WCW Saturday Night, I was hooked on WCW. I dunno, I don't think the product that WWE puts on tv these days appeals too much to kids. Discuss.

I think kids are the only people it really does appeal to. You can tell, because whenever the WWE gets the chance, they zoom in on a little kid booing, cheering, or looking shocked.

Well, I was just thinking that when I was that age I'd mark out for the awesome storylines WCW 1996-1999 had, and was wondering if kids these days do the same when they watch the product that WWE currently portrays

Well kids, still thinking this is real, are the biggest marks, and most likely to give you the reactions you want.

Kids in the 80s appreciated the brilliance that was Hogan. Kids almost always keep riveted.

Ever heard the term "childlike faith" ?

I was a huge Hogan mark when I was a kid, going to see Mr Nanny and Suburban Commando... Gotta love the innocence of youth.

I watched WCW from the age of about 13 and pretty much cheered on all the heels because of how awesome I thought the nWo was.

I loved that about the nWo and DX, how the heels became the next generations baby faces.

One here dude!

When Andre turned on Hogan (ripped his crucifix necklace), I was in total shock!

Yes I know for a fact its the same for them. My little brothers friends a silly marks.

I've thought about this myself before. No way can they possibly sense the utter lameness of The Great Khali and John Cena, or recognize Batista's poor in-ring skills. They see right past those downfalls that we all recognize to gawk at the WWE's painted picture of "WWE SUPERSTARS!"

The poor bastards. At least I can look back on WCW circa 1998 and smile. It was good shit.

They're going to look back ten years from now and want to kill themselves for mimicking Cena's "marine" salute.

I walked around giving the Diamond Cutter sign and the nWo too sweet thing.
