Edge injury worse than expected
 

WWE.com is reporting the latest on Edge's injury and following surgery. Dr. James Andrews noted that the tear was much worse than originally believed, and the surgical team discovered that the tendon had completely torn from the bone once they opened him up for the surgery. The injury was so bad that it could have been career threatening if it wasn't correctly repaired. As far as a recovery, Dr. Andrews stated, "That has yet to be determined. The first four weeks after the surgery is all about healing; from there, it can take three to four extra months for the recovery." From that, one could expect Edge back in late 2007.

God, people are turning everything into a steroid debate. Edge admitted he did steroids. I assume that means he took fucking steroids. Whether or not the doctor was crooked is something I don't know any facts about (but I am sure Rob will inform me).

It is still not a 100% answer. Also, I am not defending WWE or claiming Edge never took steroids (before you type your fingers to the bone claiming that I doing that).

Considering the reason the story came up in SI was the indictment?

1 - He admitted taking them. He already got named in the Sports Illustrated piece and I'm sure more mark doctors will come out and possibly name him. One doctor took a plea bargin today to avoid jail time and said 2 major WWE stars have been getting roids from her. Won't be Edge but more doctors will be named and shamed.

2 - It's EXTREMELY unlikely to get full tears without steroids.

If he has done steroids and stopped then his muscles will tear easier ala Triple H.

No, it's not 100%, but there are long odds against it. I mean, it's possible Kurt Angle was replaced by an alien. Not 1200% impossible, anyway. You're dealing with real long odds here.
