Wet Hair
 

Has anyone else noticed this trend? Nearly all of the wrestlers who sport long hair always come to the ring looking like they just got out of the shower. Triple H, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Raven, Johnny Nitro (but not John Morrison)... the list goes on and on.

Perhaps the biggest victim of this trend is Ric Flair, who I always equated with his poofy blonde 'do. Anyone have an opinions regarding this? Why do they do it? The only logical reason that I could come up with was that it might help to keep their hair out of their eyes.

I always wondered about that, too. It's like they take a shower right before they go to the ring every time.

Keeps their hair out of their eyes, keeps them from getting poofy (look at the Royal Rumble from 2001, Kane's head looks like a mop by the end of it) and it also helps to keep them cooler.

And fuck, it looks cool.

They need to look shiny for the cameras.

Plus poofy hair makes them look like giant douches. I love the guy but it looks horrible on Morrison.

It's for the ladies out there.

RVD's looks dry.

Nothing better than a mullet slicked back.

They also use a ton of grease. I remember seeing Bret Hart put it through his hair once and thought he was nuts.

Macho Man's hair looked sweet

Some guys just use conditioner and keep in, honestly it works

Edge was one that tried to buck the trend, but he started succumbing to the bucket of water in the guerilla position.

HBK doesn't do it, Macho Man, Hogan (hah), Triple H doesn't do it as much, it's just what they think makes them cooler.

Trips does it quite often

It's probably for the same reason they grease themselves up before a match

Flairs practically bald at the crown area now so he wets it and pushes it all back to try and cover it. I can't ever remember flair coming out with soaked hair before it was obvious that it was falling out.



As for the rest of them, my theory is when theyre on the way to the ring theres 5 wrestlers on each side of the corridor on ladders laying on a golden shower. :wtf:
