Price of WMXX

WOW, I just checked out and WWE Jacked the price up for Wrestlemania up to 50 bucks! figured maybe an extra 5 or so like last year , but this is getting insane, thinking of not even buying it for that price

Any Thoughts?

Loose Cannon 02-28-2004 11:19 PM

That's why I ain't buying it when I can get it on DVD two months later for 20 something

Funky Fly 02-28-2004 11:27 PM

It's a 5 hour show. I'd say that's worth it.

Boondock Saint 02-28-2004 11:29 PM

Now that I'm at school, I don't get any PPVs during the school year. I'll be home for this so it's worth it for me.

Sensei Of Mattitude 02-29-2004 01:24 AM

Hey Boondock, if your in a dorm and your dorm has a really fast connection (like my dormroom) getting the PPVs thru shopzone.com on the Webcast is an awesome way to watch them. My friend Steve and I don't have all the money in the world so we have only ordered Survivor Series 03 and Royal Rumble 04. The Webcasts are $17.95 and we split the cost. WrestleMania probably will be a little more being that it is WrestleMania.

Steve and I won't be ordering WrestleMania XX because I'll be there.

But $50 on TV is a reasonable price for WrestleMania XX. Being that its $35 for a regular PPV.

They are supposed to release a three set WMXX DVD, so no, I doubt i will be getting the PPV unfortuantly.

Rob 02-29-2004 11:29 AM

I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for any show personally.

Corndad 02-29-2004 01:23 PM

I am also a poor college student, The Webcasts though, arent they only avaliable after the event?

The CyNick 02-29-2004 02:52 PM

I dont think $50 is unreasonable. A high profile boxing PPV is way more than $50, and you are getting 5 hours (well almost) worth of show. Which is $10 per hour, which is a better value than most WWE PPVs which usually go a little over 2 and a half hours and cost $35.

Ricky 02-29-2004 03:08 PM

I get it for free so I don't give a shit.

Anyone Know If they are running a webcast for this one?

Pegasus Crawford 02-29-2004 03:50 PM

Seeing as that I don't buy every single PPV the WWE pumps out, I think I can afford to blow $50 for just 1 PPV.

The webcasts are live just like watching it on TV. You also get it free on video on demand for a week after the ppv.

Shaggy 02-29-2004 04:48 PM

I remember the last time that Wrestlemainia cost 50$. But you didnt just get the ppv. You also got a 9 hour special that was about all the past wrestlemanias. If what you guys said is true that thank god that this one is 5 hours long.
