Creation of the powerbomb?
 

Can't remember where i read it but anyone know if theres some truth to a statement saying that the powerbomb was the result of a fucked up piledriver with one wrestler jumping too high and the opponent putting too much effort into lifting him? Kinda like the ddt was a trip combined with a front face lock. :wtf:

I dunno. I do know for a fact like you mentioned that the DDT was created by a botched front face lock.

I don't know the story, but guessing from how the power bomb looked, the guy didnt jump enough, and Thesz fell forward. Basically he the person taking it got about halfway between vertical and on the shoulders, and thez fell to his knees, dropping him on his upper back...

Although it wasnt a powerbomb that was invented an even more devistateing move came to pass.The "Ganso Bomb".The crowd had no idea what to think of it.It was to insane of a move for its time.
