TNA officially makes me stop caring *potential spoilers*
 

<font color=goldenrod>There were rumors last week that the X Division Title would soon be phased out. With the recent addition of Andrew Martin and Matt Morgan along with reports of signing Rikishi and A-Train, it would appear that the X Division is going by the way side.

Current story lines right now only focus on the heavyweights such as Angle, Cage, Sting, Jarrett, Abyss, Tomko, and Steiner.

At this time, it is believed that Kurt Angle will defeat Samoa Joe in the Winner Takes All Match and Angle will form an alliance with a yet to be named partner and carry the TNA Tag titles while the World Title and X Division Title will then be unified there by phasing out the X Division title. This is similar to what WWE did years ago when for a short time they phased out the IC title by unifying the World Title and the IC Title.

Surely TNA can't be THIS stupid, can they? I mean they are gonna be getting a 2-hour timeslot so they are gonna just phase out the division that made a lot of people watch to begin with?

Surely TNA aren't stupid enough to phase out the one thing (except the 6 Sided Ring obviously) that sets them apart from WWE!

I liek Morgan, and for the mostpart I like their talent, but they NEED something other than heavyweights.

I wouldn't be so quick to believe it, the X-Division has been around since the start of TNA, they're getting a 2 hour time slot, and it would render half of their roster useless.

I would imagine they'll keep the X Division but change the title to something like the TV Title. Since it's being whored around to people that shouldn't be in the X Division anyway, it would make more sense to just have a general midcard title, even if it did stay in the X Division for a few feuds/title changes.

The X Division is shite anyway. Who cares? It's not new or unique or even interesting.

It's not new or unique or interesting (for the most part) BUT it is different to the stuff WWE passes off as cruiserweights.

I highly doubt they wold scrap it.

well since all the x div are all in tag teams now. i like the idea of a tv belt or mid card belt, so all the small guys and jobbers to fight for.

IT's only different in the sense that the cruiserweights and US/IC title are basically merged, so when CWs get beat up by hosses, it's now for the title.

I wouldn't expect them to phase out an undercard title altogether, so I can see Angle winning it and then throwing it in the trash or something to get rid of the X Division title. A little later they can bring in a TV Title or something of the equivalent. I'm sure they'll think of a retarded, I mean, INNOVATIVE, name to call it.
