Do you think that MMA would lose popularity in a few years?

Would it be like cyclical like wrestling? Is MMA the latest fad, so to speak?

No I think the interest will plateau though

Nope. Wrestling will get worse. Boxing has no marquee fights left after Hatton vs. Mayweather. MMA companies are doing stuff to make stars.

NO WAY OMG HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT THATS BLASPHEMY LA LA LA LA LA IM NOT LISTENING [/Jordan X]

Reavant 08-06-2007 06:34 PM

haha it will plateau but not drop off like wrestling because its not based on storylines and worked outcomes. As long as there is talented fighters that want to fight eachother and the promoters dont act like complete douche fucks, then mma wont go away.

How about another Pacquiao vs Barrera vs Marquez mix-n-match.
Still interesting to me.

Oh there are loads of fights that still interest me - Guzman vs. Arthur, Calzaghe vs. Kessler, Haye vs. Mormeck, Marquez vs. Pac Man and Gomez vs. Chavez Jnr just to name a few. None of these are marquee fights though. Calzaghe will do over 40,000 people but it's still not a marquee fight.

Golden Boy promotions should have loaded that Mayweather vs. DLH card with title fights with exciting fighters to build stars. But they blew it big time.

MMA will be fine as long as it stays scandal-free.
