Who has the brightest future...(TNA Edition)
 

Okay, so Angle, Sting, Jarrett...those guys aren't going to be around forever. Christian Cage (if he stays) will be good for a while. Samoa Joe has TNA marks pleased, but is not really over with the mainstream audience. I don't think Rhino or Abyss will ever be anything other than a "transitional" champ, if either even ever sees the belt again.

So, in the long run...who has the brightest future in TNA that isn't already a "main eventer"? Vote and discuss.

I voted for James Storm. Not particularly great in the ring, but he can work a half decent match with anybody (even retired NFL tight ends) and he is a golden heel on the mic.

Oh, and if you vote "Sombody else" say who and why...

Oh and Chris Daniels doesn't have a bright future because he's not that young.

Meh, I put it together on a whim and forgot about Roode.

I know Daniels is older, but with TNA's travel schedule (or lack there of) he probably has a fair share of good years left in him still. He hasn't had the same schedule as say, Angle, and he's in better health because of it.

Than ANGLE, sure...but than the average big name wrestler? I think not. Think of all the indy dates, my friend.

Not to mention Daniels has worked in Japan and that sure as hell ain't no easy day at the office.

Oh, but Japan's travel schedule, or lack thereof, combined with their lack of matches...;)

Alex Shelley has the signs of the most potential IMO. However that doesn't neccesarily mean brightest future.

I'd say Robert Roode, closely followed by James Storm. I'm voting for James Storm though because "somebody else" is not a manly choice.

Roode and Storm could be huge in WWE.

I could see a Roode/Hardy feud for the U.S. Title on Smackdown.

I'd rather they stay in TNA.

I am surprised Vince hasn't attempted to snag Storm and/or Harris. They both fit the mold of what he's looking for, and they're good in the ring.

Then again, I'm just a mark for that Texas Death Match.

I'm a huge Daniels mark, so my favoritism towards him makes me believe he's got the best things coming...

From the list given, Styles IS already a TNA Main Eventer.

He WAS a main eventer is a more accurate statement. He is bordering on it again, thus, I felt it appropriate to put him on the list.

Styles was awesome when he first turned heel and had that feud with Rhino. Now he's just been made to be a mindless lackey instead of the cocky "phenomenal one" who thinks he can do anything.

For the record, Shelley is one of my favorites in TNA. I don't see him ever main eventing a mainstream wrestling promotion though.

Depends on who figures out to jump to WWE first. Of course they run the risk of getting buried, but they have a bigger shot than being second fiddle to pre-established stars in a second rate promotion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking TNA. But pushing Sting, Jarret, Angle and various hosses who have been released by WWE seems to be priority far beyond pushing the midcard emerging stars they have in their lockeroom.

They'll get snagged and pushed by WWE if that keeps up, and it will kill their morale and make everyone want to jump ship, effectively killing the company from the inside out.
Same thing as what happened with Jericho and the Radicals and shit

All it takes is for WWE to make Monty Brown a star, or steal Styles, Daniels or Joe or somebody and push them, and everyone with a lowsy Orlando contract is gonna opt out. The worst case scenario is they get buried in a shitty gimmick and walk away with tons of money.

I don't think TNA's smaller guys would make it in the WWE. Styles, Shelley, Daniels, Sabin, etc...In the case of Shelley and Sabin for example, I don't think either one of them are even main eventers in TNA. They lack the size to be taken seriously in the WWE.

Now Storm, Harris, Roode, Hoyt, etc...I think any one of them could be a big steal for the WWE. And if one of them got a serious push, like mentioned, it would seriously damage TNA.

I'm also working under the assumption TNA is still going to be around 3-5 years from now.

TNA has to go all in pretty much. At least in my view, and I think that's what their aiming at. In 5 years, they will either be in contention with WWE or part of their library. You gotta go right at them, existing as the secondary promotion is pretty much useless once you've come this far.

It's possible, but they could easily be bought out. I don't know what to predict, I can see them getting close to WWE if they go at them hard and change their direction. I more likely seeing them collapse in on themself and get raided though
