So who the fuck is this pacman guy, and why should we care?

Wakka wakka?

SammyG 08-11-2007 09:37 AM

Adam "Pacman" Jones, is a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans, who got suspended for this NFL season because he did some shit at a strip club, he made it rain on strippers, and he's been arrested like 6 times or whatever. So yeah, there ya go.

D Mac 08-11-2007 09:49 AM

He's a fooseball player.

Innovator 08-11-2007 10:08 AM

"Making it rain" for people who aren't in the know is when you toss money in the air around strippers. The girls went for the money on the ground and Pacman took it back, saying it's his money.

Xero 08-11-2007 10:21 AM

Apparently he also injured a former indy wrestler or some shit, thus the connection to wrestling.

Innovator 08-11-2007 10:21 AM

Paralyzed him

Kane Knight 08-11-2007 11:07 AM

So we shouldn't care, then.

Xero 08-11-2007 11:23 AM

Right.

FourFifty 08-11-2007 11:42 AM

It's TNA. Unless they sign Chris Jericho or The Messiah there is no reason to care.

.....What a Jewish Bastard!

mrslackalack 08-11-2007 11:49 AM

Pacman is known for his numerous off the field incidents (6 times arrested 5 additonal times questioned) Although he stated he was only arrested twice. That have got tremenodus publicity. In the NFL hes shown a lot of potential to be one of the best CB's in the league and hes a pretty good kick/punt returner and he has a famous TD dance where he slides down the pole after he scores.

mrslackalack 08-11-2007 11:50 AM

TNA could have had Jericho had they gave him the type of top dollar money they gave Sting and Angle but TNA didnt do it.

Mercury Bullet 08-11-2007 11:54 AM

He is a good football player, but his off the field incidents are probably going to cost him his career. He's probably dipping into wrestling right now to see if it is something he'd want to do long-term in the future if he doesn't make it in the NFL.

That's what I've been thinking, already he's better and has more charisma then Ron Killings ever did, and I've only seen a vignette/montage of Pacman.

Mercury Bullet 08-11-2007 12:06 PM

Yeh, if he winds up getting suspended again, or banned from the NFL I could see him pursuing wrestling. He's a phenomenal athlete and honestly he might have potential to make it in wrestling, but not if he takes it as seriously as he's taken his NFL career.

mrslackalack 08-11-2007 12:06 PM

Id like to see what Pacman would do in the ring considering hes a CB while most of the other guys that wrestled where OL and DL.

mrslackalack 08-11-2007 12:07 PM

Ray Lewis has already agreed to wrestle a match for TNA as well after he retires. He wanted to do one earlier this year but the Ravens wouldnt let him. Brian Urlacher always has wanted to wrestle as well but the Bears wouldnt let him either.

IC Champion 08-11-2007 12:10 PM

Whats with Football players and wanting to be wrestler?

Don't they know they cant be as good as Mongo McMichael.

The Rock was a great wrestler that was pretty big in college football. Had it not been for serious injuries he might have had a pretty long career in the NFL.

Xero 08-11-2007 01:06 PM

Bill Goldberg was a terrible wrestler that was pretty big in the NFL. Had it not been for serious misuses he might have had more staying power than just a streak.

I thought Jericho and the word Messiah were conjoined together forever

In the Attitude Era, 80% of the people onscreen had played football.

Pretty big difference between that and just hopping over.

:( It feels like I'm the only one who knows who The Messiah is..... He was the one good thing about XPW. This man gave XPW his heart and soul, and then Rob Black took his thumb.

mrslackalack 08-11-2007 11:45 PM

I only know him as the guy that lost his thumb.

chrisat928 08-12-2007 05:15 AM

The Titans filed a restraining order against Pacman that states he cannot wrestle.
So if he gets involved, the Titans could sue TNA.

Skippord 08-12-2007 05:23 AM

What?

they didnt file a restraining order, there is a clause in every NFL contract that states that they cannot participate in activities that could get them injured

SammyG 08-12-2007 10:28 AM

So I guess the final verdict on that was that he can appear on TNA television, but can't have any wrestling going on.

"The suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback won't be allowed to touch or be touched, use or be hit by any object or anything else that could injure him."

West: THIS IS THE FIRST EVER NERF BODYSUIT MATCH AND BOY IS IT BIZARRRRREEEE!

chrisat928 08-12-2007 12:38 PM

I think you mat have stumbled on to TNAs next concept match.

Mercury Bullet 08-12-2007 12:40 PM

I previously stated my idea of an "All Holds Barred" match where the objective is to will your opponent into defeat.

Sounds like it is making its debut with Pacman Jones.

Team Sheep 08-12-2007 02:04 PM

I'll always remember his game against the Jags last year.

Otherwise known as "The Six sides of Stare" match.

El Dandy 08-14-2007 05:04 PM

Now they should sign Albert Haynesworth so he can stomp on wrestlers heads.

Xero 08-14-2007 05:35 PM

This is TNA's thinking process: Okay, we can't get Goldberg. Let's just hire a random football player and hope lighting hits the bottle three times - once for Goldberg, once for Pacman and once for Pacman's talent.
