Fuck the WWE

Yeah, I'm a little drunk at the moment, but I just want to discuss the release of Shantelle Taylor. This girl is attractive, and one of the more talented wrestlers the WWE has in development. She was called in to work matches against Jamie Noble as the androgynous wrestler "San-Eye," and she also worked matches against Jillian Hall. All reports were positive.

Now the WWE releases her because they "have nothing for her." How about you fucking morons put her in the women's division and have her do what she was trained to fucking do. Fucking idiots.

Delete this if you must, but this is just me ranting about my pet peeve in the WWE. When the idiots in management have "nothing for" a talented individual under contract. Letting them merely be talented and doing their thing wouldn't be good enough, surely?

IC Champion 08-14-2007 01:06 PM

She could have languished in OVW or wherever until her contract ran out.

Xero 08-14-2007 01:11 PM

The women's division is all shat up. As far as I'm concerned they should just abolish the title all together.

Put it this way: Would you rather her be released now or jobbed out on TV then released?

To be perfectly honest, I'd rather be jobbed out, then released. More paychecks come in your way by those means. I mean, so few people watch the WWE these days, that jobbing out doesn't mean much, anyway.

Drunk Alienoid06 = Ratings

Show me pics of this bird so I can evaluate this so called hotness

Kane Knight 08-14-2007 02:38 PM

I have to agree., Why not try using talent?

Don't have a gimmick? Neither did Cena. Let them develop on TV. I swear to God, writing sometimes works itself through without any real effort.

Outsider 08-14-2007 03:04 PM

How about release all the Diva's who can't wrestle for shit and then give her one of their places in the roster?

Oh wait, there wouldn't be a Womens division anymore.

One Shantelle Taylor

Mooияakeя™ 08-14-2007 04:11 PM

Ever so slight pussy shape showing there. She's good to go imo. Bring her back.

KingofOldSchool 08-14-2007 04:25 PM

And of all things they job out Mickie James.

Pepsi Man 08-14-2007 05:32 PM

Meh, somehow, it's hard to care, having never seen her, and considering she's never been built up as a big character anywhere. I also think for some reason that if I did see her wrestle, I would probably consider her overrated. (Like I consider CM Punk, Paul Burchill, and even to a degree Paul London and Brian Kendrick.).

Then it must be deamons!

How do you perform an exorcism? Do I need a silver cat?

XL 08-14-2007 06:45 PM

You can't be that suprised that hey let her go surely?

I mean it's that time of year again! Where all the talented females cower in fear of loosing their jobs. That's right boys and girls, it's bigger than the Royal Rumble. It's bigger than SummerSlam or even WrestleMania. In fact it's even bigger that Big Danny V. It's the...

WWE DIVA SEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly. They have a struggling women's division on RAW, a budding women's division on SmackDown!, would it be so hard to bring her onto either show, say she's a trained women's wrestler, and let her talent (and look) guide her for a bit?

The seems to go in ups and downs with how they handle their women. There are some bright spots, and there are some talented ladies being used (Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Mickie James and even Melina on RAW; Victoria on SmackDown!). Victoria is basically calling for Shantelle Taylor to just come in and wrestle her on SmackDown!, put on a good showing, and let the feud develop from there.

If "having nothing" is the real excuse for this, the WWE are just pathetic. I'm assuming that XL is right, though, and the WWE just wants to clear some of their talented performers to make way for twin bikini models who can't even get the name of the company right.

So how long until TNA picks her up?

The Optimist 08-15-2007 01:26 PM

So, we fire the hot ones that can wrestle, then hire the ugly ones that can't wrestle in the Diva Search. Yay progress.

Kalyx triaD 08-15-2007 01:32 PM

The Divas are just barely about wrestling as it is soft core porn. And trying to compensate by training their current 'star diva' is too little too late. Train them all, make a real women's division. A little boy could look up to HBk or even John Cena. But I'd die if my daughter wanted to be a WWE Diva (as they are currently portrayed).

What's sad, is that with Jackie Moore, Gail Kim and Nikki Rox, they have a better women's division than the WWE. OK, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but if they made a few more female hirings, they would be there. It's a shame that TNA no longer cares about being the better wrestling show, and therefore won't take ladies' wrestling any more seriously than the WWE.

I think Shantelle Taylor's next step will be to work for SHIMMER, where she could show off some of her skills, and maybe get back in the WWE's good books when they decide they want another serious go at the women's division.

Dorkchop 08-17-2007 09:34 AM

WWE doesn't want women with talent in the ring. If they do decide to make them Divas, they're used to make the Candice Michelles look good. I'd rather not be on Raw or Smackdown where she will be jobbing.

It would be nice if WWE did just put her on Raw, let her wrestle, and develop a character later. It's worked for lots if people.

Well that's where she was previously, so yeah, you would think so.

Alienoid, I thought you were an optimist?

Also, when has the Diva Search ever yielded an ugly woman?

I have nothing to contribute to this thread but this.....Best thread title...EVER

YOUR Hero 08-19-2007 06:27 PM

She doesn't have the look of a Diva. Plain and simple. Is she talented? Perhaps, but that's got very little to do with the direction of women's wrestling in the WWE
