Vader's Mask
 

I was watching a UWF match between Vader and someone (don't remember who) and he took off his mask for the match, he just wore it to the ring. I know he wore it during matches in WWF and WCW. Is this some sort of tradition in Japan? Did he do this for all his Japan matches?

In short, why did he take it off?

UWF is a more serious promotion. Serious even by Japan's pro wrestling standards. Its kind of a mix between a work and a shoot. So being as they are trying to present it as realisticly as possible, they probably made him take the mask off for the fight itself.

Besides that tho I think he took the mask off a lot in japan. Probably uncomfortable to wear.

He took it off all the time during his matches.

Ironically I was reading the transcript of Vaders interview this week from Monday Night Mayhem as I viewed this thread.
