Is it worth buying a Carnivale Boxset.

I know the series only lasted 2 seasons, instead of the planned 6 seasons, and so I suspect story lines will have been left unfinished, but I have heard good things aboot it; photography, acting, and story-wise. So to the people who watched it: is it still worth checking out on DVD?




On a side-note, is it me or are HBO cancelling quite a few of it's quality shows (Deadwood, Rome)?

Anyways, yes I would say it's worth buying. However, the show can be a bit slow at the start, and that turned a lot of people I know off of it. I loved the show and wish it kept going.

Rome was intended to run one season. They doubled its length and ended it. No big. Though one questions their logic in cancelling Deadwood.
