Instrument Buying Advice

What's kind of bass guitar should I get?

El Vaquero de Infierno 08-29-2007 04:25 PM

None.

You buy a Mandolin instead. You'll thank me later!

Guessing you've never played bass before, because if you had played any instrument you would likely already know about the various brands out there. Do some research. It's called google. Instruments are different for each person.. just depends what fits you and what you prefer.

That, and go to music shops and try some out.

Try what feels good on you. If you are just starting out the Fender Standard Precision Bass or Standard Jazz Bass are good ones to get your feet wet. Very affordable and very solid instruments.

:y: solid starting points. I odn't know advanced instruments, but if you're a beginner, this is a good way to go. Either one, depending on preference.

I have a p-bass, it is very good. Um, there was one brand, I wanna say Dean, but I honestly don't remember, but I fell in love with the way if felt. But the best insusterment to buy in the one that feels good and is in your price range. Don't worry too much about color.

Ahhhhh, do you want to be just like your hero, Les Claypool?

My p-bass is still my only bass, I've had it for about 6 years now I think. 6 or 7. AND it is autographed by Victor Wooten.

yeah on any other forum people would say stuff like "Ibanez is really a great fit for everyone" and someone else would say "I agree about Ibanez" and this is why we have pride and joy in TPWW

Wait, are you say we have pride and joy because we don't sell Ibanez?

Mercury Bullet 08-30-2007 05:07 PM

Ibanez Guitars > Ibanez Basses

Ibanez is really pretty average overall, and overpriced.
