Rate the Match #2: Ric Flair versus Sting @ Clash of the Champions I
 

Chris Jericho versus Shawn Michaels @ WrestleMania XIX = 9.1

A 9.1 for the first match is fantastic and very strong. Although, it seems quite apparent from all the comments that the match could have been rated closer to a 10 if Chris Jericho had been the one to get the victory. Nevertheless, everyone seems to agree that this is definitely a must-see matchup.

The next matchup is nearly 20 years old, yet is still one of my favourites. I'm a big fan of the old NWA and this match is a must-see classic in my eyes for any wrestling fan. The first ever 'Clash of the Champions' had quite the main event, with two absolute legends battling for the prized NWA World Heavyweight Championship in a 45 minute bout that increased the legend of Ric Flair and propelled Sting into superstardom.

8.5 - A fantastic match to be sure, but honestly one of my least favorites of the Ric Flair/Sting match-ups. And no where near as good as the Flair/Steamboat's.

9. Great match that the crowd was into. Its one of the best matches out there that WWE hasnt put on a DVD yet. I do agree with One as I feel it is overshadowed some by the better Flair/Steamboat trilogy,

For reasons previously mentioned. Good match, but is definately overshadowed by Steamboat/Flair and other encounter between Sting and Flair.

I like how you went from a WWE match to a NWA/WCW Mr. JL. I say the next match you should do is an ECW match.

8 - would've given it a 9 but I'm not a huge Sting fan

just put this Clash on DVD the other day. great match, but there were so many great macthes back then. probably an 8 because Flair/Steamboat had awesome matches and I love the Sting/Muta match at GAB 89

I gotta watch this again, tis been a long time.

Yeah the Sting/Muta match for the TV title is just a damn fine matchup.
