Command prompt question, yo
I should know this, but I don't.
I need the Windows XP command prompt syntax to move browseui.dll from a cd rom (d drive) to c:\i386. It's a corrupted file, you see, and a friend of a friend's pc can't start anything besides command prompt up until it's replaced with the new file on the CD. Rep and blowjobs for those who can help. |
This command is always used in this style
Copy “path of file” “path” Example1: C:\>copy Friday.doc c:\”documents and settings” Example 2: C:\>copy a:\weekdays\Thursday.doc c:\temp\days Example 3: C:\>move Friday.doc c:\”documents and settings” |
why don't you just run a detect and repair booting off the CD?
|
I don't have the pc or the cd with ,e. I just said I'd ask on their behalf. BTW, you mean the original windows XP cd, right Bad Company? Because from what I understand, they just burned the dll to a blank cd and are trying to replace the old file.

Worse still, the pc is apparently FAT32 and not NTFS. I didn't think it was possible to run XP formatted that way. :wtf: To top it off, she's totally pc illiterate and her kid fucked up the pc with some internet game ( ). Fuck. |
Put the hard drive in another PC to copy the data she wants off it, then reformat :y:

Or better yet, we fixed the problem and deduced that her boyfriend downloads too much porn.
Thanks, anyway. |
