Just scored a couple of tickets for the NFL game in Wembley

:D

Got them for face value on ebay.

Couldn't believe it.

Anyone else going?

CSL 09-09-2007 05:25 PM

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 05:28 PM

Team Sheep 09-09-2007 05:32 PM

Giants and Dolphins

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 05:34 PM

Don't be sad CSL, you're not gonna miss anything..

:D

Team Sheep 09-09-2007 05:37 PM

I'll be rooting for the Giantsssss.

Not like I'll be a fan of them or anything but don't want a divisional rival winning!!

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 05:39 PM

Nah, I'm just kidding.. NFL games are AWESOME live..

Team Sheep 09-09-2007 05:43 PM

I went to the Jets v Oakland game at the Meadowlands last year and it was immense. Dunno how the London crowd will be at an NFL game though.

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 05:45 PM

Well, did it sell out??

Obviously alot of people going are already fans or they wouldn't be going.. Once there people will be super into it.. I hope its a good game for yall..

CSL 09-09-2007 05:45 PM

Hell yeah. It sold out in a matter of minutes. They could have sold out the stadium 5 times over. What I mean is I wonder if it will be a 'soccer' type of atmosphere or like it is in the States. Well regardless, like you said, I'm sure it will be a great spectacle, and an awesome weekend overall.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-09-2007 06:48 PM

It's not sold out yet, remaining tickets are going on general sale soon.

I'd be careful to be honest, they seem to be very very hot on people reselling on ebay, you might get screwed :-\

Team Sheep 09-09-2007 06:58 PM

Well he has 100% reputation, including a history of selling tickets so he seems trustworthy.

I would guess it will be a little different than a typical American crowd. Just the nature of sports is a lot different in the U.S. than in Europe. But I am sure that, especially since it is a regular season game, it will be competitive and a lot of fun.

road doggy dogg 09-12-2007 01:30 AM

Good shit. My buddy from work got tickets for the GB/Detroit Thanksgiving game, gonna buy 2 off him for me and my dad. Can't waitttttt.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-16-2007 03:10 AM

Thats pretty sweet you got tickets but I still think it is bullshit that the NFL is doing this

Mr. Monday Morning 09-16-2007 06:01 AM

Cry about it

Nervous Ferret 09-16-2007 06:14 AM

yeh blows pretty big for Dolphins/Giants

I know it's not the same, but the Yankees went to japan a few years ago like a week before the season, and they started like 3-14, was seriously like wtf

Team Sheep 09-16-2007 09:02 AM

Yeah I'd be really pissed off if I was a Dolphins fan, to lose a home game like that. But it is good to expand the game, and gives a chance for huge NFL fans in the UK who may never get a chance to go to the States and see a game to get that experience here. They're gonna do this every year now apparently, so next year they may have a regular season game in Mexico, or Germany, or Japan or something.

Everyone's discussing now about having a franchise in London. Lol dunno if that could ever seriously happen but who knows. On TV they were saying how flying from New York to California is hardly much different than flying from NY to London. And they were saying that Hawaii play College football or something and that's like out in the Pacific ocean, yet teams fly there. It's not really as far as people think.

Nervous Ferret 09-17-2007 12:18 AM

Well teams in California have a lot of games against other teams on the West Coast. They probably make no more than 4 trips off the West Coast all year. A London team would have to fly 8 times to all over the states.

I dunno about football in England, based soley on how well soccer does here

Mr. Monday Morning 09-17-2007 07:52 AM

It's not really a good comparison.
