To quote Goldberg
Quote:
How fucking bad has TNA gotten that BILL GOLDBERG declares it "blows"? Is he justified in his critique of the current state of Total Nonstop Action? |
Totally and completely justified. I don't even enjoy reading the spoilers they are so bad.
|
I agree with Goldberg.
|
I used to enjoy TNA. Like, up until a year ago or so. It has been in one hell of a downward spiral...
|
Actually, his exact words were "RAAWWRG GRRRRRAAABBBB!".
|
While Goldberg is right about TNA blowing. He also, in the same interview made it sound like he knew more about wrestling and was better than TNA. Which rubs me the wrong way because Goldberg never cared about wrestling it was just a pay check too him. Plus he bad mouthed TNA for hiring a football player and pushing said football play hard. If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is.

Goldberg is crying sour grapes. I mean, TNA does blow, but let's have a little fucking perspective, here.

Quote the Goldberg, Nevermore.
|
Yeah BDC, you nailed it pretty damned good.
Why should he even be commenting on it anyway? Last I heard, he was doing other things like that Bull Run series amongst other things. |
Quote:
Not true at all actually, seeing as Bill spent a few years training to be a wrestler. And actually has wrestling skill. |
True, Billy boy was by no stretch of the imagination a technical master, but he was never supposed to be. He's no worse than any of the other powerhouses WWE are pushing at the moment.
His comments on TNA are absolutely spot on. It's a mess and I'm embarrassed for Kurt Angle to be working there. |
Goldberg makes it sound like he's still the best thing in pro wrestling today.
|
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think he came off as egotistical as alot of people are suggesting he did. I think what he said was pretty spot on.

So I guess he was in talks with TNA to go back to wrestling:?: because otherwise their is no reason for him to be bitter about them guys.
|
He didn't say anything that alot of non-wrestlers haven't been saying. I've heard fans, good wrestlers, bad wrestlers, everybody voice the opinion that Goldberg did almost verbatim, not counting the last line... and I don't think that's too easy to argue with. He's got a solid point. Period. It doesn't matter what his history's like, what he's saying makes sense. If I can say it's retarded for them to hire Pacman without having ever wrestled a match, and nobody says a bad word about it... well, I don't really see why Goldberg can't.
|
Also, to the question of "why is he even commenting on it?"...
Wasn't this in an interview? Maybe I'm totally out of the field here, but didn't he give his opinion because somebody asked for it? |
Being asked doesn't mean you have to answer. Him going off on a tangent is pretty.... well, immature.
Wrestling promotions have brought in sports and TV celebrities many times over the years. What's so different this time? Nothing that's what. |
I don't blame TNA for trying to bring someone famous in to help get their name out their. But they really need to push their own talent.
|
Goldberg slandering a wrestling company, big shock there.
As Goldberg would say: Who's Next? As I would say: Who gives a shit? |
I totally agree with what he said. And to the people who seem somehow alarmed that Billy Boy is bashing TNA in interviews, I have this to say in response; It's Bill Goldberg. Nobody REALLY gave a shit what he had to say in the 90's and they care even less now.

But TNA doesn't even have the solidified names yet, and they're bringing in Pacman Jones. Now he's one half of the god damn TNA Tag Champions with Ron Killings; a guy who hasn't done ANYTHING worthy of note in the past 2 years. Pacman has no direction in TNA; just like the rest of the roster; and so he won't do any good in elevating or highlighting anyone. They need to concentrate on their stars and their storylines; not in bringing in more wasteful talent like Pacman Jones and Rikishi. |
Yeah I'm a bit confused why they need to bring in Kish. I mean seriously, their entire show is one big metaphorical stink face to the audience, do they need a mascot or something?
|
Wait, what happened to their mascot?
|
Also, isn't Eric Young TNA's mascot?
|
Quote:
TNA is trying to do the same thing, at least be happy they didn't give him a singles belt and really showoff his (lack of) skills. |
I totally agree it's stupid, I'm not arguing that point with you or anybody, but when Goldberg trashes these guys like he did it shows his mental prowess.

I like TNA. But one thing that annoys me about them are some of the pointless angles and the frequent face/heel turns. I can quit watching it for a month and then tune in to see that the Angles are faces and Black Maschimo is a heel. Then 3 months later its switched again.
|
Goldberg is right
|
lol at the person that said Goldberg has wrestling skill,
ask jericho put godlberg into submission in the lockerroom, ask Regal who showed the world how goldberg is. And finally Ask Bret Hart about Bill goldbergs wrestling ability. |
Yeah, i do agree, i hope Angle gets out of that place and goes back to the WWE, they could put him in some awesome matches.
Oh, and like lol bout Goldberg and shit. |
Was Goldberg going to go to TNA :?:
