Two months ago I wouldn't have been surprised, but he has actually been used on Raw a fair amount lately.

They could have just kept him on ECW as a jobber in hardcore matches, but no, they had to move him to Raw.

never a fan of his.

It must've been something that was pretty sudden or they would've jobbed him to Santino last night.

He probably told a writer that The 'Swog as Vince's son was stupid idea.

Flair > Booker > Sandman

Same with Cryme Tyme, I mean, they were hardly ever on TV for quite a while. Then, they get on Raw and get significant air time for 4 weeks or so, and bam. Gone.

yea, I agree Koos. I was thinking the same thing about something happening between last night and today

Well what I meant is that they probably feel like Flair and Book are too important to just let go like that.

(Somewhere in a board room inside WWE Headquarters...)

WWE Agent: Well, Booker, Mr. Flair, thank you both for coming in today. I wanted to talk to you a little about your, eh, requests to be let go by the company. Our thinking, is that you both really just need to see some other people released right now. So this is what we did, we went ahead and got rid of the "Sandman" for you. How do you feel about this? Are we any closer to reaching a resolution?

(Booker and Flair look at each other and shake their heads.)

I'm assuming Sandman did something to the same effect that we just aren't aware of yet. I'm sure Boone will have some crack reporting on it though.

I'm seeing Pacman Jones getting caned in the face, in the near future.

Well this sucks, I was a fan of his, even if he wasn't one of the better wrestlers around. I figured he wouldn't be active right now anyways since it looks as if he had gotten injured last night. But I don't think they would release someone due to injury, but with these rash of firings, I probably wouldn't be surprised.

Not bad reasoning, but I wouldn't put it past the WWE to release a guy just because he popped into their heads and wasn't Randy Orton.

At the end of Raw last night, the Sandman was one of the last three people in the ring with Vince, which must have caused Vince to realize he actually still employed the Sandman. The end.

Exit Sandman.

It was just about a month ago when they teased Sandman winning a battle royal featuring nearly every Raw superstar.

Crazy.

I do find this release odd, but color me unphased. He has looked terrible during his whole WWE tenure. His matches were uncomfortable watch, and he was tarnishing whatever 'legacy' he had. I guess I too wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors, but I'm just happy I won't have to suffer through watching whatever endeavors those may be.

I don't know, but being a SoCal native I believe that New Jersey is hell.

We do a lot of things...some legal...most not

I've never been to NJ, but if I did, I'd have to go to the Quik Stop to see the Clerk's sights.

I think he's better off.

FakeRazor lives in New Jersey and he seems to have a pretty good time.

I am ok with this to an extent. The Sandman has nothing to offer WWE really... but at the same time he is a character that is over as hell... I am kinda pissed with this personally but I can see why they did this.
