Not just because I'm a Nash mark but...

It is a good thing Nash was the one that ended Goldberg's streak. While in a perfect world, an up and comer should have finally beat Goldberg and get pushed into the mainevent. But in reality, if Nash didn't do it, Goldberg would just be another sacrifice to the alter of Hogan's ego.

Discuss.

Xero 09-12-2007 12:34 PM

I agree 100%.

BigDaddyCool 09-12-2007 12:43 PM

Plus I hate that jew. So you know Nash being Goldberg, I'm all for.

IC Champion 09-12-2007 02:22 PM

Nash is a God, therfore a God triumphes over a jew.

Slow 09-12-2007 02:27 PM

Amen brother

Loose Cannon 09-12-2007 02:29 PM

from a fans perspective back in 1998 when watching it, I didn't mind it at all. I loved Nash at that time and he was over.

However, the problem I had with the whole thing was the next night on Nitro and there after.

The One 09-12-2007 02:35 PM

NASH.

That is all.

Anybody Thrilla 09-12-2007 06:38 PM

You're right about Nash being over, which is exactly why he had nothing to gain from beating Goldberg. It should've been somebody else.

Anybody Thrilla 09-12-2007 06:38 PM

Not Hogan either, of course.

Bad Company 09-12-2007 06:42 PM

At least a wrestler ended his streak, you never know what WCW could of done with that angle.

Rodman.

Bad Company 09-12-2007 06:44 PM

Hornswaggle :(

Anybody Thrilla 09-12-2007 06:51 PM

I think Jericho should have ended it. Not cleanly or anything, but you know, the Jericho way.

Jordan 09-12-2007 06:56 PM

I marked out like a fool when Goldberg was finally beaten.

Anybody Thrilla 09-12-2007 06:58 PM

It was just so inconsequential. If Goldberg would've lost to Jericho, it would've been HUGE.

I agree. He had nothing to gain. That's why they should of held off and built up another guy toward his first Title win.

Jericho beat Goldberg twice

1) Fall Brawl 98

2) Backstage

Pepsi Man 09-12-2007 08:57 PM

Maybe Nash should return to the WWE at Armageddon and end Cena's reign (if it's still going on; if not, Raw works too. :o).

We're talking about Goldberg's streak here idiot.

The One 09-13-2007 12:49 AM

Berg's streak should have been ended by Glacier.

BigDaddyCool 09-13-2007 12:51 AM

Yeah, but you dumb asses are forgeting that in perfect world, yes someone like jericho should have beaten Goldberg. But in reality, in the real WCW it would either have been Nash or Hogan. And I remember the time, people really liked Nash. Nash was the lesser of 2 evils. So remember, this thread isn't about the best out come, but the best realistic outcome from WCW.

The One 09-13-2007 12:52 AM

I was thrilled to see NASH end it. You know that BDC.

Nash is a wrestler?

The One 09-13-2007 12:56 AM

NASH knows how to deliver an incredible "Play with my hair" to other wrestlers. That's almost more impressive than his work in the 2 sided ring.

Kane Knight 09-13-2007 09:50 AM

Nash, Hogan, what's the difference?

As far as I was concerned the streak ended 4 months before Nash beat Goldberg

Didnt WCW plan it where The Giant was supposed to end Goldbergs streak but during a battle royal on t.v. where the final 2 would face off in a one on one match it acidentally went down between Giant and Goldberg and Goldberg defeated him?

I've never heard that Mrs. Lack, so I'm inclined to believe it's pork pies!

Whoever that person was would have gone on to job to Hogan, this making it useless anyways.

Additionally, when Nash ended the streak, it proved how useless he was. He was never really over again after that.

So they're both useless fucks, just one of them is more asthetically pleasing? God, you are a faggot.

Mercury Bullet 09-13-2007 02:48 PM

Nash gives a big boot better.

Nash sells better (like, say, a finger poke).

Nash has more charisma.

BigDaddyCool 09-13-2007 03:06 PM

Plus Nash wrestles like a big man. Hogan uses middlewieght moves. While both are 300+ lbs.

BigDaddyCool 09-13-2007 03:07 PM

That and I'm a Nash mark, duh.

SammyG 09-13-2007 03:11 PM

Don't turn your back on the Wolfpack. You might end up in a bodybag.

IC Champion 09-13-2007 03:25 PM

No you won't, that's a lie.
