When did PPV Buyrates get so expensive....
The Unforgiven PPV is $39.99. I remember when only Wrestlemania use to cost that much and all the other PPVs use to cost about 25 dollars. Now-a-days who really purchases a small ppv like Unforgiven for 40 bucks? Back in the attitude era it was much easier for them to sell a small ppv like Unforgiven. But today i dont know how the WWE does it. Especially with John Cena trying to be Superman.

Thats the price, buyrate is how many people bought the show.

I've always figured that they're upping the price and adding more PPVs to counterbalance the loss of viewers.

one marketing idea is to up your prices even when you are not as populer because they will always have loyal fans who pay for it. those people get taking advantage of to help keep the amount of money the company want to make. It is sad, because it means your best fans are being exploited

I used to love some of the good IYH shows for 19.99.

I remember this one time when VINCE DIED, the they did this angle where Benoit died and it tottally trumped it!
and then they did this angle where Hornswoggle was Vince's son. But he was a midget! oh great times. |
Remember when there weren't crappy PPVs every month?
|
I remember when I used to pay an extra £15 to get Sky Sports to watch Raw and Smackdown!, and pay extra to watch PPVs if needed, and stay up till 4am because it was worth it. Now I keep my £15 in my wallet, and download it if i can be bothered, and if i have time.
Reminiscing can't be good for you :'( |
