Alright....lets rewind a sec...

It was a week before Halo 2 was released and I was all excited, I came home turned on my xbox and what did I see...The Red of Death...

My Xbox crashed a week before Halo 2 came out...and I was pissed....

Now lets come back to this time...

Its less than a week before Halo 3 comes out and I come home from class today to turn on my 360.....and what do I see....THE RED RING OF DEATH!!!!

This is the second time this has happened with in the week of Halo's release...

Now I have to send this shit in and probably wont get it back untill next month...hopefully before Guitar Hero 3 comes out.

All four lights on the Ring of Light flash red on the front of the Xbox 360.
This means that the AV cable is not being detected by the console.
Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the unit.
Remove it and reconnect it.
BE SURE IT´S ALL THE WAY IN!!!!!
The cable often meets some slight resistance before being fully inserted.
Not fully inserting the cable will result in either all for lights flashing
on the ring of light, or may simply result in no video on the screen.
The cable is fully inserted when the largest part of the connector is nearly
touching the units case.
If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area
of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into
the unit. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.
If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still
flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.
Call the support.

thanks for the advice but its the three blinking lights...the hardware failure one....

Atleast they offered to send me a free game...

So its been nearly 2 weeks and still no box...I called microsoft to ask about it...

Apparently they didnt even order me a repair box. They have it listed that my system is has the ring and that they sent me a free game to make up for it but no damn box.

I asked the guy what the hell the point was in sending me a game if my system was broken.....so now I have to wait yet another week for my box and then 3-4 weeks after that till I get my system back..

This really horribly sucks because I was hoping to have it back in time for Guitar Hero 3...looks like that wont happen..

Honestly, you probably won't get it back in time for Rock Band (not saying you were wanting it or anything, just making a point).

Is turnaround that bad? Mine was back within 3 weeks last time.

I'm just worried, because my coffin's on the way.

I've heard everything under the sun so it just depends on how many orders they've got to fulfill and whatnot.

Fortunately, they'll put a rush on mine. I'm that important. :shifty:

Im looking forward to it but isnt it coming out sometime around the middle of December. I will hopefully have it back by then...actually I hope to have it back before Smackdown Vs Raw comes out in mid November.

Wait it out Shaggy. That's what I'm doing right now. If worse comes to worse, you may have to do what I did the first time this happened to me. They gave me the address and I had to send it out. Cost me 80 bucks, but I got it back really fast.

Actually Rock Band comes out the week after Raw vs. Smackdown.
