I miss piledrivers.

It seems like only Undertaker does them anymore. They aren't even really done on TNA either. What the fuck is up with that. The piledrive is one of the most recoinize moves ever. They need to be brought back.

IC Champion 09-21-2007 01:44 PM

Agreed. Piledrivers are the shit.

RVD, you over selling bastard. hahaha

Kane Knight 09-21-2007 02:48 PM

Taker's really isn't any safer, either.

I'm surprised there are none in TNA, though I don't recal having seen one, so I'm not terribly shocked.

Stickman 09-21-2007 02:54 PM

How the fuck did RVD bounce like that? AWESOME

Yes, I really do miss pile drivers and "big impact" moves.

Slow 09-21-2007 03:04 PM

I just miss good wrestling shows

He's got a spring in his neck, like some sort of reverse-Tigger.

They just trust him. Has he ever been known to hurt anyone? Hogan claims that the one he gave him on the chair at Survivor Series '91 messed him up a bit, but I don't trust Hogan to tell me my hair color.

Anyone thats seen that match knows that hogans head was nowhere near the chair, he just sorta flopped down onto the chair after being "piledrived" onto it.

After watching that you can tell he doesn't even touch the chair, he lands between the legs.

Mooияakeя™ 09-22-2007 01:39 PM

lol The womans face and the kid on the guard rail are priceless in that video. PRICELESS.

If anything from that, Hulkstarrrrrr didn't touch the mat, he tuck his head to the right of taker's legs. jus his shoulder if anything was buggered.

I miss wrestling, period.

We have WWE, who aspires to be a soap opera, TNA, who aspires to be WWE, and RoH, who now apparently inspires to combine TNA and CZW.

So why not let Kane? They trusted him enough to Tombstone Linda...

He gave Triple H a stinger when he returned at Judgment Day 2000

Wasn't that at the end of an iron man match? It wasn't 'Takers fault. But that spelled the end for piledrivers in WWE.

They seem to only let Kane do it as a heel.

thedamndest 09-23-2007 07:14 PM

When the Undertaker was just starting out and I was a kid I used to picture him in a graveyard driving tombstones into a ground using his finishing maneuver.

Kane Knight 09-23-2007 07:23 PM

They banned that after he fractured two poor tombstones.

Crimson 09-23-2007 07:54 PM

Sure miss Heenan and Gorilla commentary.

Crimson 09-23-2007 07:55 PM

When it comes to piledrivers, nobody gets higher than Rob Van Dam.
Then again when it comes to frog splashes, drop toe holds, and everything thing else, nobody gets higher than Rob Van Dam.
