So do you think Orton will have a remodelled Championship belt?

I want to say yes but I seriously doubt it. They SHOULD bring back the Undisputed version (after Orton destroys the spinner), then when Cena gets it back he can get a new "Blinged Out" one and they can mass-produce it to sell to the marks.

Well apparently what they debuted last night counts as a new belt because of the 'unveiling' and all.

Thats right. The new belt is the same belt, but with the spinner glued in place. Big improvement right there :y:

Unfortunately I think they will keep the redesigned Cena championship with the stationary center until he comes back because they will obviously want to get the strap back on him as soon as he's back.

I have a feeling he will keep it because it sells as Merchandise. The fake spinner belt is like a top seller to little kids

Although it won't happen. Which is a pain, because Hunter and Orton looked more out of place with it than RVD or Edge. And thats saying something

After reading this I doubt it's gonna change either now!

I noticed it wasn't spinning when Orton had it on his shoulder at the end of the PPV but didn't put 2 and 2 together (I missed the 1st hour of the show btw).

It's not going to change, unfortunately. The belt looked ridiculous on Triple H last night.

I think they should go with something completely new, and restore some respectability back to it.

If they had their wits about them they'd do a new one now Orton has it. They would make a couple bucks off that one for now.

Then when Cena returns and wins the belt they can give him a NEW "Blinged" belt...that will then sell by the truck load!

Besides, IF Cena is out for 6 - 12 months (which I would guess is an over estimate so that he can return in 3 and look even more like Superman) there won't be too many changes in too short of a timeframe!

It generates too much merchandise revenue...

Once the sales drop out of the top 10 items or so, then they will change it.

It just really don't fucking suit Orton. The whole idea of it etc. Edge's "Rated R" thing suits the belt on top they way it suited him to "mirror" what Cena had. It suited his charactor. The sly bastard that he is etc.

But Orton, Uh-uh. Just don't suit him. Specially seen as it's like the same belt, with the "spinning screw" tightened up... Really fucking creative.

It just looks stupid with the blinged "champ" there too.

Like the long ass thread I made months ago... I HATE THAT BELT. Even if it doesn't spin, it looks like a fake, unofficial piece of shit! So it doesn't spin anymore...so what. Still says "Champ" instead of "Champion", still looks like a jewel encrusted toy, and seeing as it was made for Cena like the Smoking Skull was for Austin, it's never going to seem like the real title belt...always some wrestlers gimmick.

Seriously, the Smoking Skull was nice, but seeing people walking around with it other than Austin would have seemed wrong. Same goes for this.

That's WWE for you. Merchandising > Respectability
