2002 was good too. I missed most of 03, 04, and 05. I took a leave of absence from wrestling. |

LOL no, it was 03
2002. Though '03 and '04 did have some good things going on.
yea 01 was the Invasion Angle mostly. Surprised people are picking that one.
I really enjoyed 2003.
I enjoyed 2001 too though, I enjoyed the InVasion angle at the time, just in hindsight its obvious that they could've done so much better with the situation they had. On a side note, who are the Smackdown Six people talk of? |
Triple H/Michaels Fued was pretty much the highlight of Wrestling in 2002. That fued was insane.
Although RAW in 2003 was some of the best shit ever.
2002.
Michaels/Hunter and the rise of Brock Lesnar. |
I particularly enjoyed 02 for Takers heel run/title reign.
Except for the Hogan feud. That sucked
The invasion angle was dissapointing because of what it could have been, not neccesarily because the overall product was awful.
I say 2001, even though the invasion angle is one of the most poorly executed, blown oppurtunites of all time. Bottom line is you had a strong start to that summer with the 2 man power trip and their fued with Jericho and Benoit. Great matches there, and Jericho was still on the cusp of getting that big push. You had an amazing roster, with probably the best tag division ever still going. RVD and Booker T made their WWF debuts. It was still WWF. PPV cards were stacked with good matches, even if booking was off. Badass Taker wasn't completely annoying yet, they hadn't ruined Kane. Stone Cold was the champion, Kurt Angle was in his prime and hadn't lost his mind. The Rock took off for a while and came back. The community was abuzz about the eventual invasion, and all the signings |
2002. With honorable mentions to 2003 and 2001. :y:

While we're on the topic, 2000 was the best summer of all time, with 1998 not far behind.

2004 coz thats when I started watching it again.
The InVasion could have been done a hell of a lot better, but christ, it was still a million times better than what we have now. (Remember whe ECW was reformed? Possibly my favourite wrestling moment ever)
However, I was not watching wrestling due to Sky access/Uni for most of the years described. So I just went for 2001. |
