I see it as part of the ploy, especially in a case like tonight, where it was a setup with Black Reign. If he tried something like that then acted like he didn't even expect it to work, wouldn't Abyss theoretically suspect something's up (which he eventually should anyway, but hey...)?

Well this hasn't been the first time. Hell it hasn't even been the 5th. Abyss should be expecting it by now. Mitchells hits
