Who's the best worker in the WWE?
Which of THESE guys is the best worker currently in the WWE? I'm not talking about promos, interviews or charisma. For pure wrestling, who's the man?
|
I'm going with Angle
|
Eddie Guerrero.
I prefer him because unlike people such as Angle, and Benoit, Eddie can wrestle a straight up LuchaLibre style wresting match if he wanted to. Eddie is probably the only person in the WWE who can do literally every style of wrestling that is out there today. Benoit and Angle are probably better on the mat wrestling, but Eddie is not far from them in that area either. Eddie is the Fu</>cking man right now!!! :y: |
It's a tough call really. Over the past year+, I'd have to say Kurt Angle. The guy has pushed himself so hard and worked through so much discomfort and still pulled off such great matches, it's just phenominal. Shawn michaels has to get a nod for some of the performances he's pulled off, most notably the Survivor Series match, vs Jericho at WM19, and various points in between, but Angle tops him IMO for being more of a 24/7 on-and-off-stage worker.
|
Raven.
And one of these days, I'll say this answer in a post and it'll actually be acceptable:mad: |
Raven? You've got to be fu</>cking kidding me?
I can see how people would think he is good (I don't) But the best? No way in hell. No way he can be compared to guys like Bret Hart, Shawn Micheals, Benoit, Angle, Jericho, Eddie, and quite a few other people actually. |
I voted Benoit. Hart-family skills, with a dash of puroresu flavoring thrown in. It doesn't get much better than that. The fact that he's been one of my favorite wrestlers for a good 5 years now doesn't hurt, either.
Although I think overall, Eddie's the very best. Don't get me wrong; all of the guys in the poll are world-class, and probably make up for 4 out of the 5 or 6 best wrestlers in the world today. But like B-T already said, Eddie can work literally any style you can think of (submissions, lucha libre, puroresu, WWE punchkick style, etc) and never fail to look like a million bucks. In terms of storytelling in a match, he's second to none. Benoit comes awfully close, but Eddie's got the edge. As for Raven, he's entertaining as hell, and probably one of the best overall workers in the NWA right now, but in terms of purist wrestling, he's pretty lackluster. Still, give the man a chair or a microphone, and you've got some damn good stuff. |

A joke? Are you f</>ucking kidding me?
I can see how people would think those are good (I don't) But the best? No way in hell. No way those can be compared to things like sarcastic comments, witticisms, one-liners, gags, throwaways, humorous observations, and quite a few other things actually. |
LOL@ Loopydate
even if he is kinda making fun of me :( And fryza, sorry didn't realize it was a joke? |

Hard to say, I voted Angle because he's the most consistent
|
I would of chose Guerrero, but he's not there, so I picked Kurt.
|
From the limited choice's available I chose Angle, simply because of his abilty to get a good match out of almost anyone, his consistency, and his determination to keep returning from career threatening injurys.

Out of those, Angle, but now that I think about it, Eddie can do a hell of alot of good stuff and look good...

huh? what title are you talking about? |
Im gonna have to go with Beniot.
|
I just have to go with Kurt Angle just for the pure face that if you look at the past 3 years, which of these four wrestlers have had more memorable matches. The answer is Kurt Angle, from Brock Lesner to Chris Benoit to Edge even to Steve Austin, Kurt always give the fans what they want.
If promo's are included I'd have to go with Chris Jericho because I believe that Jericho's and Christian's promos are light years ahead of everyone else in the WWE and that includes Angle who is excellent. |

Yeah wasn't that Crash Holly? (RIP) |
Nelson Fraizer Jr. (formerly known as Viscera) was also extremely underrated as a worker. He was probably one of the best workers in the WWE of all-time. With the exception of Angle, Benoit, Michaels (in his prime), and a few others, I don't think many other wrestlers could surpass the standards and workrate of Viscera.

Remember like a couple of years ago, when you got banned for while? That was great...

They're all good workers, but I say Chris Benoit. Simply for the reason that he's been around for a long time and has been dicked over for too long and still busts his ass liee nobody's business. WCW waited till the end of his contract to give him a title, and WWE has had no interest in giving him a shot until now. Even now, HHH/HBK are are dicking him over with this Triple Threat match crap is he doesn't go over, I'll fu</>cking kill someone..

Yeah, but Raven still sucks.. :p |
Chris Benoit has worked his ass off for years, and hasn't gotten a whole lot of recognigtion for it, and I'm willing to say he probably doesn't ask for much. I think any worker like that ought to be considered one of the best.

Chris Benoit
