This is their best song yet, in my opinion. If you aren't a fan of Slipknot you probably won't like though.

But there is actually a guitar solo. :eek:

I hope that's a rough mix.... Corey's voice sounds really weak. It's not that bad... but I dunno, I am not feeling it like I do with most Slipknot material. The solo was a nice touch and I like the drumming, but I like Slipknot more with crunchier guitars. We'll see about the rest of the album...

I've kind of "grown out" of Slipknot in the past year. I haven't listened to them in months now. I will check this out in a few minutes though.

Apparently this is the song of theirs that's destined for a video game, and may not even be on the album.

Ok I listened to the whole song, that's possibly the only slipknot song that has gone the distance. I don't hate it.

I'm pretty sure it's just an early recording. I doubt Slipknot would release something of this quality.

It sounds more Stone Sour-ish then Slipknot to me, which isn't a bad thing for me because I like them.

It doesn't sound enough like Stone Sour to me. I liked most of their album.

On the other hand, what with issues between members of Slipknot, it makes sense that the writing on this song would sound more like their other projects.

Yeah according to Blabbermouth, this is just for the video game. The first single is called Duality, I have more hopes concerning that song.

Silent and Knight bring up a good point though... it does have sort of a Stone Sour element. It's missing a lot of the normal Slipknot elements (as much as most people can hate them) Corey doesn't scream, the guitars aren't as downtuned, there isn't a whole lot of bass presence, no extra drumming and no sampling. All in all, it just sounds like something they pulled out of their ass.

I don't entirely like the song. I enjoy Slipknot for specific reasons. Mainly because they are good at being totally chaotic, angsted, and sounding trashy as hell. (Trash, not thrash.. I'm not that dense)

Does it say what video game it's gonna be used for?
