Who was the best fake?

I believe I got them all.

ozzman6669 11-11-2007 11:29 AM

Fake Mankind??? I don't remember it.

Xero 11-11-2007 11:31 AM

Fake Sting(s)
Fake Blue Blazer
Fake Conquistadors

Either way though, Undertaker. I was a mark for that match when I was just becoming a fan. :$

thedamndest 11-11-2007 12:09 PM

Arguably the fake Doinks.

Xero 11-11-2007 12:10 PM

Savior missed a lot.

I do remember Steve Richards playing a fake Mankind for some of Triple H's sceteches, then getting beaten up by Cactus Jack.

Say what you want, but Fake Undertaker definitely had the best storyline and execution, and was by far the most memorable. So much so that when Kane was introduced, people immediately thought that it was the same guy who had been the fake Undertaker (in fact I think that belief might persist in some of the more idiotic marks.)

Vastardikai 11-11-2007 09:18 PM

Fun fact, the Fake Undertaker DID have a brief return to the WWF. As Chainz of the Disciples of Apocalypse.

Easily Fake Undertaker because it was well booked and at that point wasn't yet overdone

Which is rather ironic, considering.

Awesome, back when the faces of Foley meant something! Cactus Jack ruled!

Close.

Stevie dressed up as Dude Love for a while with Foley's "blessing."

Jura 11-12-2007 05:52 AM

Fake Goldberg aka Gillberg

Eh wasn't thinking bout WCW.

Conquistadors weren't really fake.

Wasn't every fake blue blazer played by a current wrestler in that storyline?

Blue Blazer wasn't fake. He was merely a character that transcended any one wrestler. Like V, he was more than a man, he was a legend.

Dave Youell 11-13-2007 07:06 AM

Tiger Mask :shifty:

I went with Kane, purely because I thought the manerisms were really well done and because it was a mask it made it the most realistic.

Dave Youell 11-13-2007 07:07 AM

That and also when Mabel dressed up like Doink at survivor series, I couldn't tell it was him!

All but once, when a Black man (Koko B. Ware) came out as the Blazer and gave someone the El Kabong

The One 11-13-2007 12:26 PM

Fake Loose Cannon.

Xero 11-13-2007 01:15 PM

Teddy Hart?

TerryBoulder 11-14-2007 02:28 PM

Fake Kane was a GREAT Fake and a great storyline that turned out as a DISAPPOINTMENT when the WWE just dropped it. It had serious potential.

I don't know about "serious potential" but it could have been a lot better than it was.

Xero 11-15-2007 12:27 PM

The Fake Kane storyline was something I was looking forward to since he lost his mask. It was the obvious way to go. The base storyline was great. Everything they did was just stupid.

Too bad it not only came across in such a shitty fashion, but it was really only a promotional tool for Seen No Evil.
