After the match started, The Nasty Boys were said to have worked very stiff with not only McIntye who is only 21 years old but with Dave Taylor who is a well respected veteran. McIntyre tried to be respectful and take the abuse but finally had enough and began returning stiff shots. One backstage source that the dark match was one of the worst things that you could ever hope to see.

The disaster of a match caused the SmackDown taping to finish up late, ending at 9:54 PM EST, leaving the WWE ring crew very little time to switch the set and ring for the live broadcast of ECW on Sci-Fi.

If I were Dave Taylor I would've knocked Knobb's fat greasy head off.

What was WWE thinking?

I'd say Halls and Saggs got off easy. If it were Regal or Finlay, they would have BOTH been killed.

I’ve heard stuff about those 2 which makes me think they are just a bunch of dicks

They blindsided Ken Shamrock in a hotel room, knocked him out with a telephone and then beat the living hell into him, a few years later when he saw them in an Airport and he maned up to both of them at the same time and Knobbs scared shitless just said ‘if you hit me it’s a felony’ as you can’t fight in an Airport or some shit and totally pussied out.

Plus Knobbs just comes across as that leeching friend who keeps inviting himself around your house in Hogan Knows Best

Definitely would have loved to see Drew and Dave beat the shit out of The Nasty Boys, but ah well.

Apparently Saggs and Knobbs were very over, though. That explains them thinking they were huge stars. Working stiff with a Blue Blood was asking for it, though.
