It does, oddly enough. I switched over to show my friend the other night. Flipped between Raw "in HD" and Mythbusters.

tbh, I usually try to sit at such a distance where I won't percieve any distortion or glare when viewing HD pictures on a HD set, but other than that the quality of HD (picture quality that is) is still something that quite impresses me. Dunno how long that phase will last but it's definitely pretty sweet.

With our current generation, I forgot there was a time where television had no color. :p

Well actually color tv actually goes back to the '50s or '60s in television, but it was so expensive back then that only a minority of TV sets sold back then with color up until the late '80s and early '90s were actually color.
