How to edit the windows start up screen?

I think there was a thread on this a while ago, but how can you edit the Windows loading screen when you start up your computer?

Just get rid of it. Speeds up boot time and isn't as annoying.

How would one go about doing this, DownwardSpiralDS?

Start > Run > "msconfig" > BOOT.INI tab > Check /NOGUIBOOT > Enter

Is there anyway to disable the System Configuration Utility window from popping up when opening windows?

Select the option in the window when it starts up.

Not sure how to turn it off in 98 but I'll search around.

Ok I believe this will do it but someone will have to report back.

Go to your main directory (C:\) and find the file msdos.sys and right click. Select properties and disable the "Read Only". Right click again and open it with notepad. Find the line that says something like "Logo=1" and change it to "Logo=0" OR if it's not there just add "Logo=0" to the bottom. Save it and then go back to the directory and right click again. Select properties and change it back to "Read Only".

That should do it. You can always change it back if you would like by making it "Logo=1".
