Why do I somehow dought it?

JeremyTB29 03-06-2004 03:01 PM

I have my doubt's to but I guess we will just have to wait and see but if Paul Bearer does return it looks like it will the phenom Old school taker returning at WM instead of ministry old school Taker.

Rob 03-06-2004 03:03 PM

Don't see what's so major about that.

Percy Pringle is a fat lying bastard anyway.

Funky Fly 03-06-2004 03:19 PM

I highly McDoubt it after Pringle's McRant on the McMahons and the McState of the McWrestling business.

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-06-2004 03:32 PM

Yeah, if Pringle goes back he's a dirty sellout.

I'm sure if he had a choice between the adoration of the fans and a six figure pay check for a night of work he's take the check. Good for him. Capitolism at it's best

John la Rock 03-06-2004 05:18 PM

meh

Xero 03-06-2004 07:19 PM

lol

Did you hear the shit he said about the company? If you're THAT strong about never working for the company again then don't go back because they pay you.

Champion of Europa 03-06-2004 07:29 PM

411mania also reported this.

Xero 03-06-2004 07:29 PM

MAYBE IT WAS ALL A WORK! MAYBE HES BEEN WORKING FOR WWE ALL ALONG!

....Its called Sarcasm...

Kane Knight 03-06-2004 07:31 PM

1) Not major.

2) Not really a spoiler.

3) :foc:

You said it. :y:

Danny Electric 03-07-2004 11:33 AM

Lol, I'd love to see him back for Wrestlemania, I would take the money. :shifty:

Rob 03-07-2004 11:59 AM

Nothing wrong with earning a living. If he wants to go back on his word and be a sell out then that's up to him. I, like everyone else, still reserve the right to an opinion on it though and my opinion is he was a fat annoying turd when he first left and he is a total hypocrite for not only for going back to the company after all he said about them (funny how he defended everything they did until the necro angle. Maybe he wanted to get in their first :?: ) but for going back on his word. He sold out for a pay day.

Lamuella 03-07-2004 12:09 PM

the sad thing is that in the wrestling business selling out for a pay day is the norm. How many times has Terry Funk retired now?

The only wrestler I can think of off the top of my head who quit the WWF and didn't ever go back despite being offered numerous chances was Tom Billington.

And how many people have had nasty things to say or left in a huff?

I'm still trying to figger out why Foley is back with the WWE...

And Hogan's 95 returns...

Kane Knight 03-07-2004 12:17 PM

Hogan's never exactly been a hypocrite, btw. I just can't figger out what keeps bringing him back. You'd think someone on one side of those negotiations or another would figger that it doesn't work.

Foley seems to be happy to address disinterest in the WWF/E in his public appearances, but seems more than happy to come back to the WWE time and time again to shill products and get a few cheap pops...

Lamuella 03-07-2004 12:17 PM

sadly the answer is very simple

money.

for a long time, if you got pissed off with vincent K, you could go to WCW, or ECW, or to an NWA territory. You might not be making WWF money, but you could work and make a decent living.

Sadly now Vince is just about the only game in town, so if you want to put bread on your table as a wrestler, you probably have to head back to titan towers with your tail between your legs.

and this is reason #344 why we need a competitor to WWE

Kane Knight 03-07-2004 12:58 PM

One would think the number would be MUCH higher...

He never had a choice really. His back was too screwed up.

Bret Hart and Ricky Steamboat never went back.

KingofOldSchool 03-07-2004 01:21 PM

You'd be selling out for money too.

The CyNick 03-07-2004 02:56 PM

If he does come back, I would put him on TV this week, and then tease that he's not sure whose side to be on; Kane (his son) or Taker (his meal ticket from back in the day).

Then, maybe in the Mania match, Taker is in toruble, Bearer pulls out the Urn, Taker makes a big comeback, and wins.

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-07-2004 03:02 PM

Yeah, Hart and Steamboat never came back. However, if Hart came back for free just to say goodbye, I'd be happy.

well, there was one point when they asked him to come back and he was doing a whole bunch of All Japan tours. It was probably a mix of messed up back and just not wanting to work for Vince

Rob 03-07-2004 06:11 PM

Well he made one comeback and everyone knew what shape he was in. However, Bret Hart did offer to get him back in when he was WWF champion so you are kinda right in that he did get an offer.

If he ever comes back, it will be for free too because he won't have anyone accuse him of selling out. Plus it will be one night only and 100% unadvertised.

Shaggy 03-07-2004 07:01 PM

I think it would be good for his image (Undertakers that is) To have Taker come out with Paul Bearer who he was coming out with in the past. That would make it look like the old Undertaker was returning.

Corkscrewed 03-08-2004 12:40 AM

Ultimate Warrior's never come back. :shifty:

LOL at Funky Fly. He's a hypocrite if he did come back, but of course, never say never. Maybe he likes this current move so much he'll go back on his word.

Paranoid Rattlesnake 03-08-2004 08:08 AM

One slight fact we've overlooked here before we all go on one about selling out. He hasn't actually done it yet, please commence these sellout comments after sunday

Oh no. People are speculating on a forum for speculation and discussion.

What next, people discussing wrestling? :|

Yeah like that could ever happen.

You know what I meant, we're all bad mouthing the guy about selling out when he hasn't even sold out yet. As I said, let these comments commence from sunday night

I dunno. I'm talking hypothetically here. If he comes back, he's a fu</>cking cu</>nt.

I'm saying nothing about him now, but speculating on one rumoured course of action.

But yeah, I sorta agree. People who are already hating on him for an action that hasn't happened yet need a reality check, since this is a rumour. The potential of it happening raises my ire, but please. Perspective, motherfu</>ckers!

Rob 03-08-2004 05:23 PM

To be fair, I was hating on him before this rumour so :p

Pfft, Sable sued Vince and she's back. Seeing Paul Bearer in WWE again wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

One thing we seem to be missing here: who would put it past Vince and Co. to have someone else play Paul Bearer at WMXX? Nowhere in any rumors I've seen does it suggest that William Moody is actually returning.

Joe Kerr 03-08-2004 07:33 PM

I was looking for possible spoilers at wrestlemanina and i beleive i found this at wrestle1.

We have just been told that Paul Bearer is definitely returning at WMXX with The Undertaker.
Despite him writing commentaries left and right about not returinng to WWE, he is straight out not telling the truth.
We have been told it's now 100% that he will be back with 'Taker at WMXX.

I would actually enjoy paul bearer bringing back the dead man. It would fit in better and The dead mans entrance could be well played out. I again refer to the undertaker vs. Undertaker return of the dead man ring entrance with the light from the urn. It better be damn fancy its long over do.

Sable is a money grabbing back stabbing cu</>nt though and nobody really debates it. Since her comeback, she has played Vince's bitch so he is getting value for his money, even if it is only for his own amusement.

Yeah. She's also done a playboy shoot...Wasn't that part of the original reason she sued the WWE in the first place? :?:

Definitely no debating her money grubbing nature, and especially her role as Vince's bitch.
