Slayer rose to fame as a leader of the American thrash metal movement with their 1986 release, Reign in Blood, which has been called "the heaviest album of all time" by Kerrang!. The band is credited as one of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth. Slayer is known for its musical traits, involving fast tremolo picking, guitar solos, double bass drumming, and shouting vocals. The band's lyrics and album art, which cover topics such as gore, serial killers, Satanism, religion and warfare have generated album bans, delays, lawsuits and strong criticism from religious groups and the general public. Since their debut record in 1983, the band has released two live albums, one box set, two DVDs, one VHS, two EPs, and ten albums, four of which have received gold certification in the USA. The band has received two Grammy nominations, winning one in 2007 for the song "Eyes of the Insane", and headlined music festivals worldwide, including Ozzfest, The Unholy Alliance and the Download Festival. |

Do Billy Joel. |
After Tenacious D, or maybe you guys will get a 2/1 deal
or maybe a 3/1 deal, who knows. |
Do it whenever. Just making a suggestion. Your threads, not mine.
|
Im open to suggestions from you guys, as Im running out of people to do that I think would do good, and I don't want to put out all the high scorers right away, and have the top 10 set in stone.
|
How could you run out of musicians??
|
I gave you like 800 musicians to do
|
Micheal Bolton

A few years ago I woulda said 10, but I was a comlete fanboy. Reign in Blood is the best metal album ever undoubtedly, and its kinda overshadowed their whole career, they still rule live but they have definitely gotten a little predictable in the studio. |

BTW, FA, do Bowie sometime soon. I know you've got a couple of requests queued, but if you ignore this one, I will be forced to kill you like I did Sascha. |
Yeah man give us Bowie
BOWIEEEE |
I've always found Bowie to be massivly overrated.

i will give Slayer a 7.
Fallen Angel, why don't you give Disturbed a try? Would like to see how they get on in Rate The Musician/Artist. |
Gonna go with 2 on this one. So many skinny bastards at my school wear eye shadow and wear their damn shirts and never take showers. Kinda funny how the other day people wearing Metallica shirts (including me) got into fight with a bunch of Slayer kids who all together weighed 160 pounds?
|
Oh and I demand The Doors be rated
|
Slayer is way better than Metallica
Metallica sucks |
Mayhem should definitely be rated though
Mayhem rules |
Also why does Tom Araya look really fat in that picture
