Blue Demon 11-29-2007 01:25 PM

He was hilarious for the most part....I love the Croc hunter one :D

Nark Order 11-29-2007 01:25 PM

You should never judge a book by its cornbread.

Mr Regal 11-29-2007 02:24 PM

Yup Goldust was incredible.

The stuff with Booker is fucking......gold.....

D Mac 11-29-2007 03:26 PM

You'll be seeing a lot of FourFifty in here.

DAMN iNATOR 11-29-2007 03:59 PM

Goldust was great. They never should have dropped him. Look what he's doing in TNA, though. I mean, come on...“Black Reign”???:nono: Although I suppose it sounds better than if they’d have gone with “Goldie”’s suggestion of “Gold Shower”...:shifty:

Kane Knight 11-29-2007 04:33 PM

You will never forget the name of...

*deep breath*

ALLLLLEYAAAAAAAA...

OverTaker 11-29-2007 05:25 PM

FourFifty's is gonna love you when he sees this.

Evil Vito 11-29-2007 05:31 PM

LOL cornbread.

I hated the opening to that vid. I remember that, they hyped that damn whole-roster lumberjack match all show and then did the bait and switch.

Kane Knight 11-29-2007 07:21 PM

Goldy does rule, BTW. They just needed to spend less time trying to "improve" him. Tourettes, S&M, just pointless. :|

Blue Demon 11-29-2007 07:34 PM

The tourettes had it's moments......like when he called him Bitchoff

Nark Order 11-29-2007 07:53 PM

The problem with TNA is that they'll take a gimmick like Goldust and emulate it almost perfectly but then leave out the key element that got people buzzing in the first place: Comedy. Which is why Black Reign is terrible.

Yeah, but even the worst gimmicks have their moments. Heel Austin, Katie Vick, Eddie's second title run.....

Dorkchop 11-29-2007 08:41 PM

Goldust was awesome with Booker T.

I even liked Goldy before he was with Booker. I wish he was still in the WWE.

Kane Knight 11-29-2007 09:01 PM

I dig psychological gimmicks. That's the sort of shit I wish we'd see more often. Of course, they're usually fired.

BigDaddyCool 11-29-2007 10:10 PM

But booo Blackriegn.

Kane Knight 11-29-2007 10:11 PM

Rico was enjoyable.

Ahh well. No gimmick like that wiill ever go anywhere.

Nark Order 11-29-2007 10:15 PM

I enjoyed Rico immensely. Thoroughly entertaining gimmick. He turned everybody into homophobes.

Hell, a guy who acts like that comes up and kisses me, I'd become a homophobe.

Wonder if Rico could turn The One into a homophobe?

But the one isn't gay....

Nark Order 11-30-2007 02:23 PM

Oh, right.

FourFifty 11-30-2007 03:05 PM

The funny thing is while I'm a huge fan of Goldust I've never really given a damn about Dustin Runnels. I cannot picture anyone but Dustin pulling off the Goldust persona. I just love that total mind fuck! There's something about it that is just so.... awesome.
It's like being a fan of Batman but not giving a crap about Bruce Wayne.

Kane Knight 11-30-2007 03:15 PM

FourFifty 11-30-2007 03:16 PM

And another thing- Why is it all the videos of Goldust are comedy videos or a match? What about his more serious promos? When I saw his "Rumble Returns" promo I just about peed my pants. Because of that promo I discovered one of my favorite movies. "Winter must be cold for thoes who have no warm memories."- Deborah Kerr, An Affair To Remember, 1957.

Kane Knight 11-30-2007 05:04 PM

To be honest, I'd rather see him kick someone in the balls than recite trite movie quotes.

Same here but I became a mark for Goldust when he came back and kicked Val Venis in his penis. You probably liked him before that time.

Jeritron 11-30-2007 06:44 PM

LMAO at Booker T walking into 711

Dorkchop 11-30-2007 08:59 PM

I actually enjoyed him when he was going through an identity crisis in what, 1997, when he was Bluedust and whoever the hell else he was. I remember Austin kicking his ass, throwing him in a port-a-potty (I can't remember why that was in the ring) and then tipping it over.

Overall, Goldust was a great character. I had front row tickets to a house show in 1998. My seat was actually in the corner.... which happened to be the corner that Goldust kicked someone in the nuts.

Was his first shattered dreams and actual kick to the nuts? I know he always kicked the turnbuckle, but I seem to remember him actually kicking Mark Mero in the nuts. If I remember correctly, Mero was wearing a cup because I remember some sort of plasticy noise. I'm gonna go search for it on youtube.

Dorkchop 11-30-2007 09:00 PM

I found nothing

Nark Order 11-30-2007 09:34 PM

Bluedust was actually the Blue Meanie in a fued he had with Goldust. Meanie was trying to resort to the same mind game tactics. They had a match at St. Valentines Day Massacre.

Ouch that was a LOW shot, oh well. I remember back in 1997 he dropped the golddust act and went to bein a "preacherish" angle. Then he saw that Terri was in love with Val Venis and it "twisted/perversed" his mind and the new kinda darker goldust was there. That was my favorate golddust durrin the "attitude" era. Dose anybody have any of the Vaderdust, Dust Lovedust, Mansondust parody pics from that time?
