You just described almost every female pop star out there.

I hate to say it, but the music industry has decided it's easier to take someone fuckable and make them sound good. Production is fairly easy, especially these days. And a lot of people will buy what they're told.

Granted, I like slick production. It's just I'd rather hear a good artist than a good producer.

If I can get both, great. I'm just sick of these pop stars and rappers who can't carry a tune or a beat, but have great backing to carry them and slick production.

She is not absolutely horrendous. It's obvious there is musical talent in there somewhere. It's been overproduced, pop-cultured and sexed up, though. You know, like every "pop wonder." That being said, she hasn't done anything really relevant, either. Her music has no real weight to it. She'll fade away soon enough.

"Umbrella" is probably the best of her songs, but it's still pretty awful. I think it's so awful in theory that it's actually somewhat enjoyable in practice.
