They can be extremely serious. That doesn't mean that he legitimately had one, or that steroids were a legitimate course of action. Especially with....

He said in an interview that he was on roids a few years ago, but isn't currently on them because he doesn't need that extra 10 lbs of muscle... then he got busted for getting roids and is now saying he only took them because of the infection or whatever. We're not that stupid. I don't give a shit that he's roided up though. It's a fake sport. I just don't see why he has to lie so much about this.

Yup.

A Steph infection is much more insidious.

Doctors do prescribe them for other reasons, too, but at the point you have to go through a dodgy pharmacy to get them....

And that can't happen with carnies. There's an unspoken rule.

Yup, but he went through signature, a no-no period. Pay more attention to the reason these people were suspended; they did more than just take steroids to violate the wellness policy.

No, why what he said is full of shit is unrelated.
Ken Kennedy went to a dodgy pharmacy for drugs from a dodgy doctor. Said doctor prescribed them, and according to reports, prescribed him MULTIPLE COURSES of steroids over a short period of time, like Benoit's doctor did. Unless Vince was greasing his palm, there's no reason to believe the Doctor just decided to give him multiple courses. One should be more than enough to "gain back weight," and probably shouldn't have been prescribed, but Kennedy's lying.
Just like Edge was. Wait, wasn't he "the man" when he defended himself against Sports Illustrated claims, despite also being a lying sack of shit?
In fact, Kennedy having a script for steroids changes nothing, because he went about getting them in a way explicitly prohibited by WWE's Wellness Policy. The same as the rest of the guys who were suspended. It doesn't matter if you have the Pope, the Surgeon General, and Doctor Dre arguing your case for steroids, if you break another element of the Wellness Policy, you're going to go down.
I'm betting about a third of the roster has passed a bogus script at some point. Probably more, even. That's not what Kennedy was suspended for, though. He should be, but then, so should everyone else. But that would mean Trips and Vince and probably Cena.
Honestly? I don't care about steroids. I get it. You want a big physique, and dozens of former wrestlers have talked about how you just don't get enough time to work out on the road. It's noncompetitive, so I don't care about sportsmanship or whatever. The thing is, Vince and company are talking about cracking down on things, health concerns, etc., and if they were serious, they would go after such sources.
But they won't. It would hurt business (In more ways than one).
