Canada/RAW Broadcasts
 

A while ago I had heard that WWE, during the big Canada vs. America era, would have the Canadian broadcasts be different and shift in favor of the Harts. How different was it and how did they do it? Did they have a separate (English-speaking) broadcast team?

That sounds rather odd.

And yet, I wouldn't doubt it.

Bret Hart had a halo imaged in over his head everytime he was on screen.

I don't think so. We always had JR and King as the announcers.

There was nothing different. TSN would simply air whatever USA did, except we'd have TSN on the one side of the screen, while USA was shown on the other side.

Sometimes HBGay would be superimposed on any shirt Shawn wore while appearing on television but that's about it.

We had french commentaries in Quebec and they took the Hart's side.

TSN was pretty anal about censorship too.

Yeah, if it looked remotely like a chick was taking a bump, BOOM crowd shot.

But only sometimes.

I remember I was so pissed when HHH and Stone Cold layed out Trish and Lita. Like 2 minutes of crowd shots.
