Both TNA and WWE interested in Bob Sapp

- TNA is heavily negotiating with Bob Sapp. Sapp and Kurt Angle met while filming Pros vs. Joes for Spike TV. Spike fell in love with him, and wanted to work with him more. TNA wanted to fly him in for the most recent tapings, but logistically it wasn't possible for Sapp to get there.

- The current deal offered to Sapp if a four-month deal, for $2,500 a match. He would work a program with Kurt Angle, culminating in a steel cage match with hype on Sapp's MMA background and Angle's wrestling background. They wanted to play off of the realism of their backgrounds. Also included in the deal is a program with Samoa Joe after the Angle program is complete. It is unlikely Sapp would work for so little, as he makes $35,000 per match working HUSTLE.

- WWE is also working to make a deal with Sapp. While Sapp is contracted to HUSTLE, WWE claims he could work both companies since they don't view HUSTLE as their competition. They looked to sign him earlier this year as well.

Well at least he'll be able to wrestle, unlike Pacman Jones. I am not interested in him going to TNA. I'd rather him go to WWE. TNA will fuck him up worse than WWE ever could.

Right off the bat though, WWE give the better deal.

If he goes to TNA, he's either stupid or being blackmailed.

Honestly I don't even watch MMA. What I know of it is from what my friends tell me about it. However, a $2500 in a small time wrestling promotion that has been know to do nothing but fail, verses the amount of cash WWE will throw at him, there well known programs, and the addition to Hustle's $35,000...WWE sounds the way to go. :y:

I acytually have a theory that Impact! and Smackdown! are the same show. It's not so much that Shadow's right, and Vince owns TNA, and more that if nobody watches either show...

It's like a tree falling in the woods. If nobody hears it, does it really make a sound?

Similarly, for Smackdown and Impact, if nobody watches, did it really air?

Me too. I mean the guy is already probably more capable in the ring than Goldberg, with an even more legit background. I'd mark out for Sapp tearing John Cena or Bobby Lashley apart.

The guy is apparently really charismatic, too.

Exactly. Well, to be fair, Lashley is a pretty solid wrestler when the WWE is not trying to make him out to be a boring power guy. He's capable, and his shit on SmackDown! was kind of fun. But he has the intensity they try to associate with Lashley. I remember a promo on SmackDown! (this is during the Trump vs. McMahon shit) where Lashley was meant to give Vince an intimidating stare. It looked funny as fuck. Bob Sapp would probably be able to get at least that much down.

Yeah, I dig Lashley, but he's so misused. I can't take the fucker seriously.
