How many wrestlers still live in the past?
I KNOW Hall and Nash do.
I was lookin at a chat transcript with Hall and Nash on www.kevinnash.com and they were all like, "nWo 4-life" "Wolfpac 4-life". Or how many do you think still live in the past? |
Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan perhaps?
|
Quite a few of them.
Every "legend" who makes a return is pretty much milking the past, even if they're not totally living in it. but then there are people like Hogan who are definitely living in the past. Of course, it doesn't help that the WWE seems to want to rehash old concepts and the popular days of yesteryear rather than come up with new ideas... |
Vincent / Virgil / Soultrain Jones / Mr.Jones / Curly Bill / whatever else...
He talks and acts as if (and more importantly - believes) that he is still a big superstar that everyone knows. It's a shame too, because he probably has some great stories and such, but he even talks (for the most part) in 'kayfabe' and won't acknowledge the indy guys, etc. as if he's on a different level than them. :( |
Was Virgil ever a big superstar though?
and Ed Leslie bka Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. |

Not a BIG superstar, but he did OK for himself in the $$ department; and W.W.F. banked some money on him for a time there. He had his moment like any of the other guys in his time. But yeah,I agree with you :y: |
I mean he was Dibiase's bitch for so long...
and then he got a set, turned and beat him for the Million Dollar Belt then he dropped it. That was the most memorable moment of Virgil's career. |
Didn't he get his face crushed by Yokozuna or something?
|
I used to have a Virgil action figure. :( |
DiBiase is from what I hear.
Savage. How could we forget Savage? He dedicated a whole rap album to dissing Hulk Hogan, his old WWF and WCW rival |
In fairness, it was in response to Hogan egging his house the week before...
|
Hulk Hogan. He still thinks it's 1988 or whatever
|
That's not funny, man.
See how well you avoid living in the past when Alzheimers has taken the last 14 years from you... :shifty: |
Hogan. Period.
|
The Honky Tonk Man.

Spent a 2 hours car trip with him last year, really down to earth with some really good stories. He still does the whole old school stuff in the ring, but outside he's cool |
